Explore Antwerp Explore Antwerp Online – Experience Antwerp city in immersive virtual tours featuring 360 degree photography.

Louis Morèl Web Services designs, builds, maintains websites and delivers all common photography and image editing services, including 360⁰ panoramic images and virtual tours. We are housed in a 16th century building in the Venusstreet right next to the city campus of the University of Antwerp. These locations with the fascinating interiors behind their old facade have motivated us to make these h

istorical locations better visual access to a larger public. Therefore, we embarked on the ambitious plan to create a virtual tour to all noteworthy sites of Antwerp consisting of large sequences of 360 panoramas. In addition to historic buildings, museums, churches and monuments, this project will also include special shops, hotels, restaurants and other commercial sites with appealing interiors. The project will grow with each new location that is being added. The ultimate goal is not less than a virtual version of Antwerp which both Antwerp citizens and visitors to the city can explore.

Virtual Tour 06 - Oude Koornmarkt, Antwerp

Owes its name to the corn markets that were held here in the middle ages but today this is a traffic free promenade with dozens of restaurants representing all the world’s kitchens. Oude Koornmarkt number 16 is the access to the Medieval Vlaeykensgang, where a few of the most prestigious restaurants of the city are located.

Virtual Tour 05 - Meir, Antwerp

The Meir is the most famous shopping street of Antwerp. Behind the many historical facades, you’ll find stores of most of the world’s well-known ‘fast fashion’ stores. The Stadsfeestzaal (City Festival Hall) is an example of neoclassical architecture lavishly adorned with gold leaf. The Royal City Palace from 1750 occasionally housed the French emperor Napoleon I, Dutch King William I and Belgian King Leopold II.

Virtual Tour 04 - Leysstraat, Antwerp

The Leysstraat, which runs from the Teniersplaats, forms the prelude to the Meir, the broad shopping boulevard. It's well worth to look four metres above ground level and behold the opulent architecture that Antwerp in the Fin de siècle of around 1900 could afford. On each side of the Leysstraat are imposing corner buildings equipped with dome vaults in an exuberant mix of neo-classic styles.

Virtual Tour 03 - De Keyserlei, Antwerp

The Keyserlei ("the De Keyserlei" for language purists who know that this “lei” is named after Antwerp’s painter Nicaise De Keyser) runs from the Central Station to the Frankrijklei and the Teniersplace. This initially leafy boulevard has recently undergone a rather controversial metamorphosis but for ardent Antwerp chauvinists the Keyserlei is still more appealing than the Champs Elysée of Paris.

Virtual Tour 02 - Pelikaanstraat, Antwerp

The Pelikaan Street is situated along the west side of the Central Station and runs from the De Keyserlei until the Lange Kievitstraat and is one of the most important streets in the Antwerp diamond area. Since the end of 19th century, numerous diamond cutters and jewelry shops settled down here, initially predominantly owned by Jewish diamond dealers, later followed by many entrepreneurs from India and more recently from Lebanon as well.

Virtual Tour 01 - Central Station, Antwerp

No conceivably better entrance to Antwerp than through its main railway station in the very middle of the town, also known as the "Cathedral of the Belgian railways". Widely appreciated as one of the most beautiful stations in the world with the allure of the Grand Central in New York and St. Pancras in London. Built between 1895 and 1905 but thoroughly restored in 2007 and turned into a modern City Mobility Center while maintaining all its stunning classical building styles.
