Excited to reveal that TWO of our talents have been nominated for the "Belgian Film Composer of the Year" award at this year's World Soundtrack Awards! The Award - powered by Sabam - reflect on the growing importance of the Belgian film and film music industry, PROUD!!

RUBEN DE GHESELLE earns a nomination for his work on two features: the internationally acclaimed Young Hearts by Anthony Schatteman and There Was, There Was Not by Emily Mkrtichian.
Each score showcases an intimate and nuanced approach to film composition.
In 2021, Ruben received the prestigious Georges Delerue Award at the Film Fest Gent for the music of Clara Sola and one year later he was honored with the Ensor for Discovery of the Year; hence his reputation as one of Belgium’s most talented composers.

Nominated five times, FREDERIC VERCHEVAL won the Magritte Award for Best Original Score for Duelles by Olivier Masset Depasse in 2020 and for Green Border by Agnieszka Holland in 2025. For Duelles, he was awarded the Best Original Score for a Belgian Production Award at the World Soundtrack Awards 2019. His dynamic and suspense-driven score for Olivier Masset-Depasse’s action thriller Largo Winch: Le prix de l’argent adds a sense of spectacle and cinematic stagecraft to this highly popular Franco-Belgian comic franchise.

The winner will be announced during the 25th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards on Wednesday 15 October 2025 at Music Centre De Bijloke (Gent).

Ce vendredi Brussels International Film Festival accueillera la première mondiale du nouveau film de LUCAS BELVAUX (Des hommes, Chez nous, Pas son genre), LES TOURMENTÉS, adapté de son propre roman éponyme publié en 2022, et au générique duquel brillent Niels Schneider, Ramzy Bedia, Linh-Dan Pham et Déborah François.

Les Tourmentés plonge ce quatuor dans une relation inattendue, qui le pousse à se questionner sur ce que vaut la vie d’un homme.

Frédéric Vercheval en signe la musique originale, une nouvelle collaboration avec Lucas Belvaux!

En France le film sortira le 17/9, la Belgique suit une semaine plus tard....coming très soon alors!

Proud to announce the digital (and 40g limited edition ‘cereal box’) release of LACHLAN ANDERSON’s score for ‘DEAD END’ (‘Dood Spoor’) on the very same day the series is having its intl premiere Canneseries!!

Malin-Sarah Gozin: “I’ve worked with Lachlan before on Tabula Rasa and joining forces again on Dead End was an absolute no-brainer. Few composers possess the narrative force and emotional depth that Lachlan brings to the table. His soundtrack has become a mesmerizing and immersive journey into Dead End’s universe. Each track is an out of the box creation brimming with originality and the power to deeply move, thrill or unnerve. A massive sonic cherry on the cake!”

Created, written, and directed by Malin, and co-directed by Hans Vercauter, Dead End stars Peter Van den Begin and Elise Schaap. The story follows Ed Bex, a man with a bizarre gift: when he tastes something, he sees flashes of its past. Ed runs a one-man operation called The Aftertaste, helping grieving families uncover the final moments of their loved ones through his disturbing talent. It’s a series that blends psychological intrigue, grief, and dark humor — and Anderson’s score mirrors all of it.
