In an evicted building in the City of Lights, three men try to turn their squatted apartment into a home. The trio shares everything, from scarce belongings and jokes about the future to memories of the past. In this lively milieu, time, space and personal histories overlap, offering a political allegory on displacement and the meaning of home.

During the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival, the lead actors of Lukas Dhontโ€™s third feature film ๐˜Š๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ, Emmanuel Macchia and Valentin Campagne, were awarded the ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐.

With this new award, Lukas Dhont adds another impressive milestone to his Cannes journey. His debut feature ๐˜Ž๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ญ won the Camรฉra dโ€™Or in 2018, followed by the Grand Prix for ๐˜Š๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ in 2022.

Set in 1916, ๐˜Š๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ follows Pierre, a new soldier at the front driven to prove himself in battle. He meets Francis, who tries to keep up the troopsโ€™ morale through improvised performances. As the war rages on relentlessly, both men search for a way to escape reality.
