At East Clarke Place Senior Residence in the Bronx, New York, design and dignity meet sustainability at the highest level. Conceived by Magnusson Architecture and Planning PC as a “vertical village,” this LEED Platinum community offers seniors more than housing—it offers connection, light, and wellness.

From the landscaped rear yard to the twelfth-floor terrace, shared spaces invite residents to gather, move, and enjoy nature. Lounges on each floor are programmed to encourage interaction and provide a change of scenery, while expansive windows bring daylight deep into the building, supporting mental wellbeing and creating serene interiors.

The façade tells its own story. Horizontal sunshades cast shifting shadows across EQUITONE high-density fiber cement panels, echoing the rhythm of traditional fire escapes while showcasing modern materials and technologies. The rainscreen system is not only colorful and distinctive, but also lightweight, low-carbon, and fully recyclable—chosen with care to align with Enterprise Green Communities and LEED standards. EQUITONE proudly holds the title of the first and only Cradle to Cradle Certified® fiber cement material, underscoring the project’s commitment to sustainability at every scale.

East Clarke Place sets a new benchmark for affordable senior housing: 122 homes shaped by sustainability, community, and resilience, with a rooftop solar canopy and a design that prioritizes wellness at every scale.

EQUITONE USA by Etex is proud to be part of the newly completed San Francisco University High School campus, located at 3150 California Street in Lower Pacific Heights. Designed by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects and built by Truebeck Construction with Equity Community Builders as project manager, this 48,000 square feet facility sets a new standard for educational architecture.

The three-story complex includes STEM classrooms, faculty spaces, food services, and community gathering areas—plus a 10,500 square feet multi-purpose gymnasium with double-height ceilings and bleacher seating. It’s a Net Zero energy project and is expected to achieve LEED-Platinum certification.

EQUITONE high-density fiber cement panels are engineered for environments like this. They’re durable, noncombustible, and offer sound-reducing properties that support focused learning. Several collections also feature anti-graffiti coatings, helping schools maintain a clean, professional appearance over time.

Educational buildings demand more from their materials—and EQUITONE delivers. If you're designing a school or campus, let’s talk about how our façade solutions can elevate your next project. Visit https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0pvzrc0 to learn more and contact an EQUITONE facade expert.

A wall that tells a thousand journeys.

At the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, history is etched into the very fabric of the building. Located in the historic Maritime Station—where countless Polish emigrants once boarded ships toward new lives—the façade now bears the names of global cities, marking the destinations of their hopes and dreams.

Crafted with EQUITONE [tectiva] TE20, the elevation evokes both permanence and passage, blending architectural clarity with emotional depth.

A vibrant example of design meeting purpose — the Randwick Public School redevelopment showcases the transformative power of EQUITONE.

Designed by TKD Architects and installed by Bright Ceilings, this $14.5M project is part of the NSW Government’s $6B school upgrade initiative. The new ‘Beehive’ building connects existing structures and introduces 10 modern classrooms, landscaped outdoor learning areas, and a refreshed heritage space.

EQUITONE’s façade panels — including [pictura] PG442, PG545, PG544, PG742, PG443, [tectiva] TE30, and [natura] N211, N251 — were used in varying sizes, textures, and orientations to create a dynamic and contemporary exterior. The interplay of smooth and textured surfaces adds depth, while vertical and horizontal layouts bring architectural intrigue.

EQUITONE USA by Etex was proud to attend Zak World of Facades Toronto alongside Engineered Assemblies (EA), the exclusive distributor of our high-density fiber cement panels in Canada.

The event brought together leading voices in façade innovation, and we were thrilled to connect with architects, designers, and specifiers who are shaping the future of building envelopes. From sustainability to custom design solutions, the conversations reinforced the growing demand for durable, noncombustible materials that elevate performance and aesthetics.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by — we’re excited to keep the momentum going and continue supporting Canadian projects with bold, high-performance façades.

Hello, Fall. Hello, Color.

As the seasons change, design inspiration is everywhere. The rich tones of autumn—warm rusts, golden ambers, deep charcoals, and earthy neutrals—mirror the timeless palette available across the EQUITONE façade material range.

From [natura]’s subtle, through-colored finish to the expressive textures of [tectiva], [linea], and [lunara] and the rustic surfaces of [inspires], EQUITONE hi-strength cement rainscreen panels allow architects to bring seasonal warmth and natural inspiration into durable, noncombustible façades that last far beyond the changing leaves.

This fall, we celebrate the connection between nature’s palette and architectural design—reminding us that color, texture, and resilience can work hand in hand.

The new Learning and Study Building at the University of Göttingen in Germany offers over 600 student workplaces across four floors, blending modern design with safety at the heart of campus.

Designed by Reiner Becker Architects BDA, the U-shaped building expands the historic “Platz der Göttinger Sieben” while creating an open inner courtyard that encourages connection and collaboration. The façade—crafted from EQUITONE high-density fiber cement panels—uses varied shades of grey in a patchwork design, with windows set in striking vertical and horizontal patterns. The result is an architectural statement that is both functional and inspiring.

But beyond aesthetics, this project highlights the critical importance of fire-safe materials in educational buildings. EQUITONE hi-strength cement rainscreen panels are noncombustible under ASTM E136 and achieve a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke development under ASTM E84. For spaces like universities, where thousands of students gather daily, noncombustible façades are more than a code requirement—they’re a safeguard for the future.

As we recognize Campus Fire Safety Month, the University of Göttingen project demonstrates how EQUITONE helps architects design buildings that are not only visually compelling but also engineered for resilience and student protection.

On the shores of Long Island’s North Fork, a striking new beach residence by Berg Design Architecture embodies resilience, modernity, and connection to the landscape.

The home was commissioned by a couple whose previous residence in Howard Beach was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Seeking a new beginning, they envisioned a modern, sleek beach house—one that balanced beauty with durability in a demanding coastal environment.

At just 2,500 square feet, the design achieves remarkable efficiency with four bedrooms featuring en-suite bathrooms, a double-height living room, and an expansive kitchen and dining area. A dramatic 32-foot-wide sliding glass door opens to the pool and surrounding landscape, seamlessly linking indoor and outdoor spaces. Upstairs, private balconies off each bedroom evoke a “cabin on the water” atmosphere, while a finished roof deck—dubbed the “observation deck”—provides sweeping views of Long Island Sound and Connecticut.

To withstand the elements, Berg Design specified EQUITONE [tectiva] TE00 panels as the home’s pure white façade. These high-density fiber cement panels are engineered for resilience, offering noncombustibility, durability, and performance in ventilated rainscreen systems that allow the structure to breathe and dry in harsh coastal conditions. Resistant to rot, deterioration, and ongoing maintenance concerns, the crisp white panels are balanced with warm natural cedar siding that grounds the design in its setting.

Built in accordance with FEMA flood regulations, the villa demonstrates how thoughtful material choices and innovative design can create a home that is both aesthetically stunning and resilient against coastal challenges.
