De eerste pedaalslag is gezet! Onze podcast “Nowak” krijgt productiesteun van het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds. Ons avontuur kan beginnen.

Welk avontuur?

In de jaren '30 vertrok Kazimierz Nowak, een Poolse avonturier, op de fiets vanuit Polen om heel Afrika te doorkruisen – helemaal naar Zuid-Afrika en weer terug. Nu, bijna een eeuw later, gaan Titus De Voogdt, Jeroen Franssens en Tom Ysewijn zijn reis vervolledigen. Ze pakken het stuk op dat Nowak destijds niet kon volbrengen: een woeste tocht door Namibië.

In deze podcast nemen ze je mee in hun zoektocht naar het antwoord op een actuele vraag: is er nog plaats voor avontuur in deze wereld?

De reis naar Namibië staat gepland voor oktober 2025, en we hebben jouw hulp nodig!
* Ken je mensen die per fiets door Namibië hebben gereisd en hun ervaringen willen delen?
* Kun je ons in contact brengen met locals die ons kunnen gidsen of adviseren?
* We zijn ook nog op zoek naar partners die het project willen ondersteunen, bijvoorbeeld met reisuitrusting of financiële steun.

🥹 It feels like just yesterday we were jamming away in a somewhat run-down studio on Voskenslaan. Fast forward to today, and behold – Audiotheque has transformed into a quintet, operating from the swanky confines of our Ghent City Center headquarters.

👨‍👨‍👧‍👦You're probably acquainted with our seasoned musicians, Stefan Bracke and Francois De Meyer, the founding duo who kicked off this journey in 2012. Louise-Marie, or the infamous Loumie, has likely already graced your inbox with her efficiency and charm. But have you encountered the legendary sound engineer and piano virtuoso, Mathijs Steels? The man is practically a myth, and rumor has it he's only been spotted wearing matching socks once.

We are thrilled to welcome Thomas, our strategic virtuoso. Armed with a sharp business acumen and an unwavering passion for innovation, Thomas helps us to transform Audiotheque's musical dreams into reality.
