From June 1-9, Wallonia embraced organic food with over 200 exciting activities during its 19th edition of ‘La Semaine Bio’. 🌾

Our agency proudly handled, for the 4th year in a row, the press relations for this campaign to support our client, -W. We wrote the press release and the press kit, helped organize the press conference, and arranged interviews.

This year, for the first time, ‘La Semaine Bio’ extended to Flanders with the 'Bioweek' initiative, celebrating organic farming nationwide. This Bio Week is also an opportunity to review the evolution of organic farming in Wallonia.

Even if organic production and consumption figures are down in Wallonia (mainly due to inflation), Walloon consumers are still big fans of organic food. In 2023, Wallonia saw a 9.9% increase in spending on organic products and a slight increase in the organic market share in Wallonia (5.1% versus 5% in 2022)!
