The biggest trap in modern social media marketing? Choosing between “authentic” and “premium.”
You’ve probably heard the conflicting advice:
Keep it raw! People want unfiltered, behind-the-scenes reality, design doesn’t matter!
-> The result? A feed that looks disorganized and low-value, and posts are not identified by followers in their feed in the blink of an eye.
Keep it premium! Curate a flawless aesthetic.
-> The result? A brand that feels cold, distant, and untouchable.
The magic isn’t in choosing one. It’s in combining and placing them next to each other.
This type of carrousel is a very literal way of doing this. Show off but let people see the grind behind your work.
At the top, you see the raw split-second capture. The movement, the setup, the real-world hustle of a shoot. It’s human. It builds connection. It pulls back the curtain. At the bottom, you see the final, high-fidelity edit. The depth, the polished lighting, the premium standard. It’s aspirational. It builds authority. It justifies high-end pricing.
In the equestrian world, we understand this instinctively. We don’t respect a rider who just magically appears on a clean horse; we respect the hours in the dirt, the early mornings, and the sweat that led to the flawless test.
Your brand strategy should do the same. Show them the grind, but never compromise on your standard.
