When my client came back for her retouch, she wanted something darker, richer and more… winter.

Although she was still happy with her previous colour, it no longer felt the same to her. So the plan was to keep the dimension while bringing more depth and richness into the overall colour.

Sometimes colour doesn’t need correcting. It simply needs to reflect how you want to feel now. ✨

Here, we shifted the weight and brought the movement closer to her face. The new shape feels lighter, stronger and more present.

As hair changes in texture and density, it’s important to reevaluate the hairstyle. Sometimes the haircut you’ve had for years is no longer helping your hair look as full as it could.

Many clients are afraid of layers because they think they will make the hair look thinner. But in some cases, the right layers can create more movement, volume and balance.

Colour can also help by creating depth, contrast and a greater sense of volume.

With this client, we’ve been taking small steps towards a fuller shape that works better for her hair today.

On her first visit, her hair was flatter and the colour was all one tone. Over the following sessions, we added some balayage and continued refining the haircut.

Today she came back just for a haircut update, and this is how her hair looks now. ✨

Not every blonde needs to be cool ✨

This soft copper blonde shows how warm tones can bring brightness, dimension and richness to the hair.

When warmth is used with intention and balance, it makes the colour feel luminous and alive.

Of course, warm blonde isn’t for everyone, just as cool or ashy blonde isn’t. The right direction depends on the skin tone, natural colouring and how the person wants to feel in their hair.

Because beautiful colour is about finding the tones that belong to the person wearing them.

His curls were already there, full of movement and personality. What they needed was a shape that would support them.

The haircut gave the texture more space to move while creating a stronger connection with his face.

The result feels softer, freer and more intentional, without turning his hair into something it isn’t.

How often are you realistically willing to maintain your colour?

That question should be part of the consultation before choosing a technique or deciding how light to go.

The placement of the highlights, the amount of natural depth we preserve and the relationship with your natural base all influence how the colour will grow out, and how soon it will need attention again.

Some clients don’t mind frequent appointments. Others need softer regrowth and longer intervals between major services. Neither is better. The colour simply needs to be designed accordingly.

Because the right colour is not only the one you love when you leave the salon.

It is the one that continues to work with your life afterwards.

So perhaps the question isn’t only, “What colour do I want?” but also, “How do I want to live with it?”
