Instagram is by far the most popular social network on the planet, with over 200mil active members every month and 1,6bil likes per day.

Most people still think the app is for kids, but that couldn’t be more untrue. Instagram has become a serious content marketing, networking and audience building tool for individuals and BRANDS.

A study in 2014 shows that engagement rates for brands on Instagram are on average 58 times higher than on Facebook. Those are just ‘average’ numbers. You don’t want to be just average. Imagine what that number could be when you are more than the average! Instagram is a massive marketing tool you cannot just neglect!

Having a dream and a goal differentiates you from the average. If you can visualize you goal on Instagram, you will also be above average! Imagine what your brand can do then! Good luck, just dm me if you have any questions.

The power of social proof:

“social proof is a psychological phenomenon where people assume the actions of others in an attempt to reflect correct behaviour for a given situation”

We view behaviour as correct in a given situation when other individuals are performing the same behaviour. When we are uncertain about a situation, but we see other around us doing it, we assume they have more knowledge about what’s going on and what SHOULD be done.

A great way of building social proof is the use of testimonials. Let others speak in name of your business and create a ‘Halo Effect’. People trust testimonials because they have experience the product or service, unlike their selves.

All I am trying to say here is to build social proof. Don’t be afraid to spend a couple bucks on build social proof through paid traffic, in the long run, you won’t regret it!

Using social media offers an extra canal on which you can reach your audience, track the engagement and do it as cost-effective as you want.

Selling your service/product online is not only a strong and valuable aspect for your company, it is also the only way to survive as a company.

As these stats show, e-commerce becomes more important every year. Branding yourself online, being present online, refining your onlines strategies, these are the things that will seperate the succesful companies from the less succesful ones. This is not only the case for retail, the other industries WILL follow.

The ones adapting now are the ones that will survive.
