Nobody teaches you how to choose a business idea. They teach you how to execute one. So you spend two years executing brilliantly on the wrong thing.

This is my system:

1️⃣ The business model. Some are just better than others. Selling your time versus selling a product. Subscriptions versus one time purchases. You can be excellent inside a model that will always cap you.

2️⃣ The market. Growing or shrinking? I want to grow with demand, not create it from scratch. My rule of thumb: a little competition is a good sign. A lot of competition means you need an edge, not a prettier brand.

3️⃣ The margins. High margins give you room to make mistakes, to invest in growth, to actually build something. Low margin businesses are a grind, and no amount of discipline fixes that math.

4️⃣ You. Your skills, your energy, your budget, the life you’re actually trying to build. This is the one nobody talks about. The right idea for me might be the wrong idea for you.

Three out of four gives you a business. Four out of four gives you a business you don’t need a holiday from 🤍

The biggest thing people miss when they want to upgrade their life isn’t strategy. It’s self confidence.

And confidence is not a feeling. It’s a verb.

Core values you chose yourself. Courage, which literally means “with your heart”. Compassion, also for yourself when it doesn’t work out. Competence, built by practice.

Not one of those arrives before you start. They’re built in the unknown, while scared 🤍
