Stages of video post-production π
πΉ Mounting.
π«Ά The rough cut of the disparate footage is taken over by the editor, who, like a magician, turns a pumpkin into a carriage, combining them into a finished product with a unique concept.
π Also, he makes the first sketches of the future clip or film, playing with camera angles, their order and speed of switching, and connecting music with the image on the screen.
π«Ά The developments are provided to the customer so that he can comment. The final installation process begins after agreeing on all the details.
πΉ Colour correction.
π The second stage of video post-processing is responsible for the saturation of light and colour in each frame. First, colour correction is necessary for videos shot with professional equipment.
π«Ά The thing is that it does not produce a picture with a rich colour palette. Therefore, draft material almost always needs to change the saturation of shades. Colour correction allows you to improve the image and convey its mood.
πΉ Sound/voice acting.
π It's time for the sound designer to breathe life into the edited video by carefully placing sound layers. His responsibilities include overdubbing, mixing and mastering audio tracks. As a result, the sounds of nature, the voice of the announcer, the music and the actors' words should become one, working in unison with each other.
πΉ Visual effects.
π«Ά Fire and explosions, rain and water, and other VFX effects found in almost every film are developed and implemented at this stage.
π Creating motion design, 3D graphics, and other visual effects is a voluminous process that requires the efforts of several profile specialists at once, each of which is responsible for its task.
πΉ Rendering.
π«Ά Rendering is performed on special heavy-duty computers. They compile everything that was done in the previous four steps. If the equipment's production capacity is insufficient, processing one frame may take more than a day.
