🍾🔥🎬 Bulgaria strengthens its position as a competitive filming destination.

👉 The Council of Ministers has adopted amendments to the Regulations for the Implementation of the Film Industry Act, aligning them with EU Regulation 2023/2831 on de minimis aid. 📈 The maximum reimbursable amount per project under the film incentive scheme has been significantly increased – from €1 million to €5 million – aiming to attract higher-budget international productions.

🤩 The changes are expected to boost investment, create sustainable jobs, and further establish Bulgaria as a preferred hub for global film projects. Between 2022 and 2024 alone, the existing incentive mechanism generated over BGN 170 million in foreign investment – a strong signal of the sector’s growing potential.
