Internal Linking Strategies That Impact Revenue 🚀
You're either doing internal links right, or you're leaving money on the table!
Here's something I see a lot;
❌ You are just using guess'ternals - "firing off links around your website, like gunshots in the dark" - citation: "Louis Smith"
❌ Is your brand just creating content to keep your website "fresh" like Snoop Dogg's tracksuits
❌ With a Screaming Frog crawl, it's clear your favourite anchor is "see more"
Believe me, this ain't just small brands doing this. Global powerhouse eCommerce brands are still rolling with these same tactics!
Okay...
Here's why you need to step up and fix those internal links (this will 100% have a positive impact on your eCommerce SEO strategy);
💡Create more content - You'll need a lot of internal pages if you want to make a lot of internal links. A killer content marketing plan is the first step toward a knockout internal linking strategy. You'll have a lot of linkable content if you create more content for your clusters!
Your internal linking strategy is going to open up a lot more with SOLID content, and more of it!
💡Adding relevant anchors - Of course, the right usage of anchor text opens the potential for increased revenue. Adding relevant anchors Obviously, you don't want your anchors to be spammed!
You'll be all right if you use natural relevant anchors as your chosen anchor text. There is no need for shortcuts. Find your anchors, link it, let Google crawl it and then get rewarded by it.
💡Concentrate on clustering/topical authority - This goes to my first point, you need to link to semantically relevant pages on your site.
Google is a data beast, they know exactly what they want to see on an authoritative website - feed the beast exactly what it's looking for!
💡You will save budget on external links - This is one that will save you money. Here's the thing, brands will spend a fortune on link outreach and overpriced guest posts, without actually reviewing and using internal links right.
What's the point in backlinks if your website's hierarchy (customer journey), is broken?
🚀 Internal linking is NO SECRET in SEO. But, not many brands use it well. So, you will always find the potential to gain traction on your competitors when used correctly.
Amazon... Who?
Etsy... Who?
Use internals, build niche authority, get love from Google and watch your revenue grow 📈
Enjoy 🙂
