⚠️ SECURITY FIX: CONTACT ENHANCED
Version 3.8.7 change log:

+ Added new Security option in Component Options which allows administrator user to choose a different path for the uploaded files directory. This will also increase security.

# Security Fix: Applied BlueImp jQuery File Upload patch to a reported vulnerability. Contact Enhanced already had some measures in place in order to avoid direct file access and remote file ex*****on. However, we recommend all users to update to the latest version in order to fix the vulnerability in BlueImp jQuery File Upload script as well.

On May 2nd 2018 Google announced important changes, including a new name - Google Maps Platform, which they claim to be a simplified product structure, pay as you go pricing for all, and more. Please take a few minutes to review the announcement to familiarize yourself with the changes.

We would like to highlight a few Google Maps updates that may impact your implementation. Beginning June 11th, Google is launching a new pricing plan and providing all users access to support. They’ll continue to offer a free tier — all developers will receive $200 of free monthly usage of core products. In addition, this change will require you to enable billing and associate it with all of your Google Maps Platform projects.

How does this affect your current projects? Check on https://mapsplatformtransition.withgoogle.com. If you use Google Maps in our Extensions, you'll need to enable billing by June 11 for the Google Maps integrations to continue to work.

Contact Enhanced 3.8.2 Released

Due to some changes in Google Maps API, the map on the contact page was displaying completely zoomed in (zoom level 22) and this was the most important fix in this release.

The Joomla project announced an important security release a few days ago. This release will be published next Thursday (2015-10-22) around 14:00 UCT.

There is a highly dangerous security issue in the current and previous versions of Joomla which needs to be patched as soon as the release is available. So please be ready to apply the update as soon as it is published.
