We're mourning the loss of American journalist, activist, and beloved feminist icon Gloria Steinem, who died yesterday at 92.
Her life's work was naming injustice out loud, then refusing to live with it. In a 1970 essay for TIME, she put it plainly – women don't want to exchange places with men; the goal is a world where no one's options are assigned at birth.
The work isn't done. Rights that should be universal still depend on your gender, your race, the country you were born in, and more.
That's why the work we do includes supporting organizations that move women forward – whether they're educating and empowering girls, helping women step into global leadership, or fighting for equal rights for all. Not only does it reflect what we believe in, it's how we contribute to building a world that isn't yet here.
May we all carry Gloria's light & legacy forward ✊
