Packing once again and noticed I never posted the details about my last trip to Vietnam, so if you are planning to go, here is a bit of my tour and some curiosities:
1- started from Phu Quoq, south of the country. Full days of poll - beach - repeat. Found nature actually very similar to Brazil. Phu Quoq has a downtown city like Dubai vibes, totally fake, built for tourists.
2 - after, we changed completely the vibes going all the way north to Hanoi, where there is another weather season, for the delight of travelers and a smart suitcase.
3 - I was amazed by how much counterfeits are a huge market. And I mean it! Tourists and locals wearing clearly luxury or sports fakes. I am totally against this practice and I believe you can just buy something else with no logo on. Why people care so much for the logo if piece is so bad? 🤔 is it status? Lack of knowledge? 🤯
4 - is a vibrant mass! I actually loved it. Train street is really something - plan to go after 19h as train comes more frequently
5 - is not only cool but it is has the best egg coffee (a must when in Vietnam).
6 - Hanoi is the door to big touristic attractions such as Halong Bay and Phong Nha Ke. Even with a bad weather, it was worth it! Go back one post to see a video.
7 - Hoi An was our last destination on the way back. This is the Vietnam the tourists want! Very relaxed, plenty of restaurants with nice food (after visiting a night market, I started not to be very excited about the food). Beautiful colors and lights. It is a must.
8 - Vietnam is a big pearl producer 🦪! I had the opportunity to chose my own pearl to make a necklace
9 - very funny fact: all bars put kids benches for people to seat. Felt really tall with my 1,58m 🤣
10 - crossing streets is a real challenge
11 - the weather up to Ba Na Hill can be drastically colder and rainy. Do not even lose your time going, if there are any risk. You can always laugh about it 😅
12 - last but not least: do not even wast your time going to the coconut boat tour 🤣 . Just don’t 🤣.
9 intense days crossing the beautiful country! Prices are really good and experience is totally worth it!
