What a way to spend Labour Day!

Our team had an incredible time at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. From relaxing in our beach cabana and enjoying the pools to dancing at the Floating Flamingo, playing some very competitive games of UNO and Jenga, and sampling the delicious food and drinks, it was a day well spent.

A special thank you to the Royal Caribbean team for their hospitality and for inviting us to experience this beautiful property.

Author Joan Shannell Evans is telling the world about her new book! After a book signing at Logos bookstore in Harbour Bay on Saturday, she took to the airwaves on Tuesday with an appearance on CA Newry's show on Guardian Radio.

The heartbreaking book, The Long Nightmare: My Family's Journey With Dementia, tells of the author's personal experience with dementia experienced by her grandmother, her mother, two aunts, her brother and now her sister.

Joan said it was a very emotional experience to release the new book - which is available at Logos or on Amazon.

Diane had a wonderful time this weekend catching up with legendary Bahamian artist and dear friend Eddie Minnis and his daughters at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.

A special moment from the day was securing a signed copy of Eddie Minnis’ Greatest Hits songbook, a true celebration of Bahamian music, culture, and storytelling.

We highly recommend stopping by the National Art Gallery to secure your copy of the book and pick up some of the fun T-shirts featuring his iconic cartoons. His exhibit, Potluck, is on display at the NAGB until May 31st.

The sails were billowing, the crowds gathered and members of Team DPA also enjoyed Exuma Regatta at the weekend.

Our team savoured the flavour and the action as the national sport of sailing took centre stage.

As regatta season continues, with Andros hosting the next regatta in May, it is a great opportunity for Bahamians to come out in force to support local events and keep the life of our communities flowing!
