Bhutan Naturals had the privilege of participating in a one-on-one B2B meeting with JANS Bhutanese Groceries from Perth, Western Australia, represented by its Founding Director Sakthi Nanjundan. It was organized by the Department of Agricultural Marketing & Cooperatives in collaboration with Dragon Agri-Enterprise, Paro, and was held in Thimphu.

The meeting provided a valuable platform to pitch our organic, spice-based products, targeting both the Bhutanese diaspora and the wider Australian market. We also discussed quality benchmarks and key documentation required for export.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the Director and Chief Marketing Officer of DAMC for facilitating this important connection with a promising partner who has kindly accepted our sample consignment through Dragon Agri-Enterprise.

Review meeting of the existing organic farmers' groups - Wooling Rangzhin Sanam Deytshen (Organic Certificate No. BoCL-202347) under Orong Gewog and Rikhay Rangzhin Sanam Deytshen (Organic Certificate No. BoCL-202348) under Dewathang Gewog in Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag was conducted. Valuable insights were provided to enhance the effective operation and sustainable management of these groups. We extend our sincere gratitude to RAMCO, Mongar, Dzongkhag Agriculture Sector, Samdrup Jongkhar and the Extension Officers of Orong and Dewathang for their continued support.

The second surveillance audit of the organic spice farmlands of Wooling Rangzhin Sanam Deytshen under Orong Gewog and Rikhay Rangzhin Sanam Deytshen under Dewathang Gewog, Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag, was successfully conducted by auditors from the Bhutan Food and Drug Authority (BFDA). Both Wooling and Rikhay villages are recognized as Zero Waste Villages under the Samdrup Jongkhar Initiative (SJI) and have been blessed by Kyabje Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.

We extend our special thanks to the Internal Control System (ICS) Management Team including respective Agriculture Extension Officers who serve as Field Advisors for their dedicated efforts and effective coordination in ensuring proper ICS management.

Bhutan Naturals recently had the opportunity to participate in the Workshop on Mentoring for Resilience: A Bhutan-Nepal Dialogue on Bioeconomy and Circular Economies, held at ICIMOD, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Organized by ICIMOD, this important workshop highlighted the critical role of mentorship in empowering entrepreneurs to build strong networks, access new markets, scale their impact. It was truly inspiring to witness a growing ecosystem of mentors, incubators, and green enterprises demonstrating how robust support systems can foster inclusive, resilient, and sustainable entrepreneurship. The presence of highly experienced and successful private sector leaders, who wholeheartedly offered their time and expertise to mentor emerging entrepreneurs, added immense value to the program. Mr. Suraj Vaidya, former President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and one of the mentors in the program, highlighted the importance of giving back, stating that now is the time for leaders to give back to their communities.

The three-day workshop, which included visits to ICIMOD's Mountain Lab and green enterprises was an enriching learning experience for us. We are sincerely grateful to ICIMOD and Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry for including Bhutan Naturals in this meaningful initiative.
