Kingstar (Pty) Ltd t/a Bridgeway Bar Serowe wishes to express its appreciation following the judgment delivered by the High Court of the Republic of Botswana regarding the matter in which officers of the Serowe Police confiscated our trading licence and music equipment, resulting in the forced closure of our business for two days.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Owen Nsala and the team at Owen Nsala Law Chambers for their exceptional representation. Their diligence, commitment, and professionalism ensured that our concerns were fully and properly placed before the Court. We are grateful for their unwavering support throughout this challenging period.
The Court order not only addresses the harm suffered by our business, but also reinforces an important message: that due process must be followed and that businesses have the right to operate without unlawful disruption.
This judgment is an affirmation of the protections afforded to all enterprises under Botswanaโs legal framework. As a company, we view this outcome as a strengthening of our confidence in the justice system and a reassurance to the entire business community that their rights matter.
We appreciate the support we received from our patrons, partners, and employees during this period, and we remain committed to serving the Serowe community with excellence and integrity.
