Mr Tefo Modise Setlhare is a senior executive and transformation leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning corporate and commercial law, non-bank financial services, mining, strategy and enterprise transformation.

He has extensive experience in the formulation and ex*****on of business transformation and growth strategies, with particular strengths in organisational transformation, enterprise development, commercialisation, stakeholder management and translating strategy into measurable outcomes.

During his tenure at Debswana Diamond Company, Mr Setlhare led the Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development Programme (EEDP), a strategic transformation initiative focused on strengthening enterprise development and creating sustainable economic value beyond the organisation’s traditional operating model. The programme encompassed supplier entrepreneurship development, employee entrepreneurship, outsourcing and privatisation, as well as the establishment of Naledi Mining Services, a wholly owned subsidiary created as part of the company’s broader transformation agenda.

Mr Setlhare holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of South Africa. He has also completed executive and management development programmes with the University of Stellenbosch Business School, Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), and Harvard Business School
