We are pleased to announce that Saunders Consultancy was awarded the consultancy by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation, to design and conduct a National Commuter Survey of Public Transport Users in Belize.

The consultancy was awarded on April 8, 2026, and marks an important milestone in supporting evidence-based public policy and improved mobility outcomes across the country. This national survey will capture the experiences, needs, and priorities of public transport users, providing critical data to inform transport planning, service improvements, and sustainable mobility initiatives in Belize.

Saunders Consultancy is honored to contribute its expertise to this nationally significant initiative and to support UNDP and the Government of Belize in advancing inclusive, efficient, and user-centered public transportation systems.

We look forward to engaging commuters nationwide and translating their voices into actionable insights that strengthen Belize’s transport sector.

What a joy and honour it was to be invited as Guest Speaker at the Teachers’ Jubilee Celebration hosted by Corozal Catholic Public Schools Management.

Under the powerful theme “Walking with Christ: Teachers as a Pilgrim on a Holy Journey”, we gathered not only to honour the dedication and vocation of our educators—but to reflect deeply on the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual commitment it takes to guide young minds and nurture human potential.

Teachers are more than knowledge-givers. They are nation-builders, moral compasses, and patient mentors walking alongside their students—step by step, lesson by lesson—on life’s pilgrimage. With Christ as their compass, our teachers model resilience, grace, and unwavering purpose in a world that desperately needs grounded, value-driven leadership.

To all educators across Belize and beyond: never underestimate the quiet power of your daily work. You shape souls. You seed hope. You walk a holy path. Sharmayne Saunders

✨ Empowered Women, Empower Women! ✨

Today, I had the absolute pleasure of being in the company of dynamic Belizean businesswomen at the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 3rd Annual Women's Empowerment Forum. What an incredible gathering of leaders, innovators, and changemakers!

I was honored to serve as the moderator for this impactful forum, guiding conversations that inspired, challenged, and uplifted. The energy in the room was electric, a testament to the power of women coming together to share experiences, strategies, and support.

A special moment for me? Hearing the guest speaker say, "I will attend next year even if I don’t receive an invitation!" That statement alone speaks volumes about the value of this event.

Kudos to the BCCI team for curating such a thoughtfully designed and impactful experience. Here’s to many more opportunities to celebrate and empower women in business!
