Ecostitch began in the middle of a global pause—during the height of the pandemic. With the world on lockdown and time standing still, I picked up embroidery as a way to pass the time. At first, it was just a hobby, a quiet creative outlet in a chaotic world.
I had no idea it would turn into a lifeline.
Shortly after, life shifted again. I became a single mother of two young children, navigating the emotional weight of separation while trying to stay strong for my little ones. Behind the scenes, I was battling severe depression and anxiety. I didn’t realize just how much I was struggling until everything felt overwhelming.
That’s when embroidery became more than just crafting—it became therapy. It calmed my mind, kept my hands busy, and helped me reconnect with myself. Through every stitch, I found a sense of peace. Creating beautiful, meaningful pieces—especially for customers who were gifting them with love—brought me a sense of joy I hadn’t felt in a long time.
And slowly, what started as healing turned into purpose. Then into a business.
Today, Ecostitch is more than just handmade bags. It’s a story of resilience, creativity, and community. Every item I create is made with intention, care, and love. Most are gifts, and I honor that with every thread.
To every customer, friend, and supporter—thank you. Whether you placed an order, shared a post, or simply sent a kind word, you've helped this small business grow. And most importantly, you've helped me keep showing up for my kids and my dreams.
I look forward to continuing this journey—one stitch, one story, and one bag at a time.
