When the original Holmes Drycleaners was opened by Gordon and Edie Holmes in 1962 Gordon knocked on every door in town attempting to get their business. After 12 years of tireless work the business started to pick up steam by 1974. In 1983 their daughter Elizabeth Hickey (Holmes) took over the reigns of the business. In 1991 she sold the business but it soon closed under the new ownership. In 1992

Liz reopened under the name Home Again Drycleaners in the same building. In 2014 Today we operate web in the same location as Holmes & Maltby Cleaners.
