It's the last week of Small Business Month, but the need for us to continue to show up for our small business community doesn't end.

We understand that times might be a little tight. We've all experienced the reality of rising costs in different areas of our lives. So instead of just looking at potential dollars spent at local establishments as dollars out, start thinking about them as dollars invested into your community.

Because those dollars spent with a small business recirculate the community at a greater rate. Those dollars help to maintain a diverse local economy. Those dollars matter.

If you can't find what you need right here at home, expand your search to other Canadian small businesses before hitting the big boxes if you can.

And on the days or weeks or months that the money just isn't there to shop, share your positive local small businesses, experiences with your friends and family, leave a review, or provide local solutions to questions asked in various groups.

Supporting local isn't all about the dollars, but know that the ones you do spend are more valuable than you may ever know to a small business.

Running a small-town restaurant is never easy, and this past few months have been especially tough with the challenges we have faced with our building. We are at a point where we’re facing the real possibility of having to close our doors.

We don’t want that to happen – because we love this town, we love our customers, and we’re so proud of the pizza, BBQ, and live music nights we’ve built together.
