Update -
RCMP continue to investigate the whereabouts of Brittany Storey. Further information has been obtained that has led investigators to the Molson, Manitoba area. RCMP Remote Piloted Aircraft Services had a drone up in the Molson area on June 9, 2024, and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) has been in the air assisting with the search.

Officers continue to interview individuals in relation to this investigation.

There have been no sightings of Storey or her vehicle, and police continue to ask the public for information. If anyone has information, please call Whitemouth RCMP at 204-348-2935, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 4:10 pm, Whitemouth RCMP received a report of a missing 29-year-old woman from Winnipeg.

It was reported to police that Brittany Dawn Storey was in the Rennie area on a group chat with friends when she reportedly announced she had struck a tree and the call was lost. Despite repeated attempts, nobody was able to reach Storey on her phone.

Police patrolled the area between Rennie and Winnipeg, including back roads, but there was no sign of Storey or her vehicle, a white 2016 Dodge Journey with Manitoba licence plate LFR 884. Storey has not shown up for work nor returned to her residence in Winnipeg. She has not been active on social media.

Family and police are concerned for Storey’s well-being.

She is described as six feet tall and 130 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Update 3 -
RCMP Major Crime Services has assisted the Whitemouth RCMP with the investigation. The autopsy has been completed and investigative steps have been taken. It is determined that Brittany Storey died as a result of her vehicle entering the water. There is no criminality to the events that caused her death.

The family has been notified and ask for privacy at this time.

“We thank everyone for their care and concern for Brittany and for helping in any way they could to find her,” said Sergeant Laura LeDrew of RCMP Major Crime Services. “It is not the ending any of us hoped for. As this is a non-criminal matter, we will respect Brittany’s privacy and that of her family and will not be providing further information.”

Update 2 -
On June 11, 2024, at approximately 12:00 pm, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team attended to a location where tracks were leading into a pond in the Molson, Manitoba area and located a submerged vehicle.

The vehicle was removed from the pond and a body was located inside. Investigators believe the remains to be those of Brittany Storey. Identification will be confirmed by autopsy.

Whitemouth RCMP continue to investigate.

On August 27, 2023, at 1:35 pm, officers with the RCMP Central Traffic Services unit responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 15 in the RM of Springfield.

Officers have determined that a southbound vehicle, being driven by a 17-year-old male from the RM of Springfield, was making a left-hand turn onto Highway 15 when he was struck by a northbound semi-trailer, being driven by a 58-year-old male from Lloydminster, AB.

The 17-year-old male was transported to hospital with serious injuries and the 58-year-old was not injured.

Investigating officers have spoken to several witnesses who remained on scene but believe others, who may have witnessed it, departed prior to the arrival of police.

RCMP are requesting anyone who may have witnessed this collision or may have information to contact the RCMP Central Traffic Services unit at 204-984-6913.

Investigation continues.
