Aanii aanii! Hi hi! I’m Mackayla — the face behind Cedar Grace Photography ✨
Despite the graceful biz name, I’m really just a rezzy + nerdy gal who loves capturing bright, natural, true-to-life moments.

I wanted to pop in and share that I’m officially open for 2026-2027 bookings! I’ll be photographing events like powwows, conferences, gatherings, graduations, and celebrations — all the moments that bring people together.

For weddings, I’m currently focusing on micro weddings + elopements (the intimate, meaningful kind 🤍).

Portrait sessions are a bit more limited and geared toward professional portraits — think grads, students, business headshots, or environmental portraits in your own space.

If my style feels like your vibe, I’d love to chat more!

Hi everyone!!! August was busy, busy! I'm plugging away at galleries and doing as much as I one-womanly can.
I have my sick toddler in tow and caffeine always on the go LOL.

I just wanted to put a little update to my corner of the internet!!!! Because this season of photo work is a gift I'm SO grateful for and I'm excited for every second of busy-ness to come.

The vibes were (as always) fun as heck and the smiles were big + genuine alllll weekend long. I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to photograph as much of the weekend as I single handedly could!!!

Me and my sonshine went to Noojmowin Tegs event here in Espanola, but Forrest doesn’t like socializing (I 100% feel that LOL) so we went to the library and picked our books instead. It never has to be grand, just intentional, reconnecting to me looks like mindful prayer time, medicines offered, and every bit of language I know said aloud! As well as reading any indigenous written/illustrated children’s book.
Funny story, I was reading a language book the other night and my son was CRACKING UP at my broken ojibwe 😂 I had chills the entire time he was laughing and I took that as a sign someone was happy to just hear me trying.

SO happy indigenous peoples day, cousins. Mino Anishnaabe Giizhgat! (someone correct me if I didnt get that right 🧡)
