Good morning,

We are still taking orders for chickens till tomorrow Saturday March 14 in the evening. These chickens weigh 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb.
They are processed the previous day and cooled during the night but not frozen.
Please note change of time for pick up. You may pick up either Wednesday March 18 from 6 - 9pm or Thursday morning March 19 from 9 -12.

Good afternoon,

I heard from Delco Colony that they will deliver chickens again on Wednesday March 18. These chickens weigh from 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb. This Colony delivers later in the day so pick up will be 4-8 pm. They are processed the previous day and cooled during the night but not frozen. Orders are open till Saturday March 14.

Good evening,

I plan to go to Leffers Farms and pick up organic carrots this week and if you would like to order some please let me know by Wednesday Feb 4 at noon.You may pick them up on Friday Feb 6th after 4pm. I have had very good luck with storing the carrots from Leffers in the fridge all winter. They do not have the juicing carrots this year. So its the field run and grade 1.
I want to also stop in at Halmas Vegetables to pick up potatoes. They have the red, yellow, and russet potatoes available. They come unwashed in 25lb paper bags.

I also have honey from Greidanus Farms in stock again. Right now I have only the 7 kg buckets for $55.

Quite a few of you have inquired about chickens and Fairlane Colony let a different Colony know that I am looking for chickens to sell and they just called me to let me know that they can deliver some on Thursday December 18. If you would like to order some let me know the sooner the better. Note that there is a price difference from before. These chickens weigh 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb. Pick up will be Thursday
December 18 from 11am to 6pm.

Good evening,

I said back in September that I wanted to have the produce for winter storage available later this fall yet. Since I have been waiting for cooler weather its gotten to be quite late in the season.
I plan to go to Mans Organics and Leffers and pick up organic produce this week and want to have it available for pick up at our house Friday Nov. 21 from 10-12 in the morning. I have had very good luck with storing the carrots from Leffers in the fridge all winter. They do not have the juicing carrots this fall. So its the field run and grade 1.
I want to also stop in at Halmas Vegetables to pick up potatoes. They have the red, yellow, and russet potatoes available. They come unwashed in 25lb paper bags.
I haven't been able to contact Shamrock Colony today yet but in the summer they told me that I could order the 50lb bags of red potatoes from them later in the fall so I they should be available for Friday pick up as well. These potatoes come washed.
Please let me know by Wednesday Nov 19 at noon what you would like to order.

1.This week Wednesday is the last day of the season for produce from Shamrock Colony except if you would like 50lbs of potatoes or other produce to store for the winter later when it's cooler. For Wednesday mornings I will only have what you preordered. Pick up is at our house from 10-12. If you want to order for Wednesday Oct 1 please have the orders in by 6 pm Tuesday Sept 30.

2. I plan to go and pick up organic produce from Mans and Leffers once this fall yet but I will wait till the weather is cooler.

3.The broccoli, cauliflower, and corn are done for this season.

4. I had looked forward to selling the chickens from Fairlane Colony now in October again but they tell me that their Colony is in the process of starting a new Colony just now and they won't process chickens in October. They will see if they will start back up in January. I am so sorry about this!



We can also bring in larger beets in 5 and 10lb bags for canning.

For Wednesday mornings I will only have what you preordered. Pick up is from 10-12. If you want to order for Wednesday Sept. 24 please have the orders in by 6 pm Tuesday Sept 23.

2. We should have quite a bit of tomatoes this week.

3.There's corn available for this week again. It's the vision corn and the only kind they grow.

2. New for this week are the Cantaloupe,Cauliflower, and Tomatoes. There's beefsteak and Roma tomatoes. Of the beefsteak there's a lot but of the Roma there's limited supply so they will go to whoever orders first.

4. We hope to get tomatoes in but they are just not ripe enough yet.

Good morning,

1. We plan to be at Farmers Market here in Bow Island now Friday September 5th to sell the produce from Shamrock Colony again. It will be the last Farmers Market of the season. I cannot believe how fast the season passed by. It was so nice to see so many of you and thank you so much for supporting us this season again. This Farmers Market takes place at the Golden Age Centre from 2-4 in the afternoon. I will post whats available this week and the prices below. You may preorder so we can set it aside for you and you pick it up during those hours. Or you can just come and buy what's available. Preordering ensures that you get your produce since it's hard to always estimate how much to order in and sometimes we sell out before the afternoon is over. If you preorder for Friday please have your orders in by 6 pm on Wednesday Sept. 3rd.

2. We are also selling and will continue to sell the produce at our house on Wednesday mornings till the produce is done for this season. For Wednesday morning I will only have what you preordered. Pick up is from 10-12. If you want to order for Wednesday please have the orders in by 6pm Tuesday Sept 2nd. When you order please specify if you want the order for Wednesday or Friday.
