Good morning,

It's that time of the year again where the Farmers Market is about to start. It starts the first weekend in July. Friday July 3 from 2-4 pm here in Bow Island at the Golden Age Centre.

I have decided not to sell the produce anymore but my sister Gloria Banman is taking over. Her contact info below:

I plan to be at the Farmers Market the first few times yet so look forward to seeing you there.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all your support. I truly enjoyed it!

I also decided to not sell the chickens anymore. Yesenia Neufeld wants to do that in the future. She also sells the fruit but if you are not on her list her phone number is: 403 892 2812

I had told some of you that another batch was supposed to come in in June but I misunderstood them. They got new chicks in June and will deliver in August or September sometime.

Good morning,

We are still taking orders for chickens till tomorrow Saturday March 14 in the evening. These chickens weigh 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb.
They are processed the previous day and cooled during the night but not frozen.
Please note change of time for pick up. You may pick up either Wednesday March 18 from 6 - 9pm or Thursday morning March 19 from 9 -12.

Good afternoon,

I heard from Delco Colony that they will deliver chickens again on Wednesday March 18. These chickens weigh from 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb. This Colony delivers later in the day so pick up will be 4-8 pm. They are processed the previous day and cooled during the night but not frozen. Orders are open till Saturday March 14.

Good evening,

I plan to go to Leffers Farms and pick up organic carrots this week and if you would like to order some please let me know by Wednesday Feb 4 at noon.You may pick them up on Friday Feb 6th after 4pm. I have had very good luck with storing the carrots from Leffers in the fridge all winter. They do not have the juicing carrots this year. So its the field run and grade 1.
I want to also stop in at Halmas Vegetables to pick up potatoes. They have the red, yellow, and russet potatoes available. They come unwashed in 25lb paper bags.

I also have honey from Greidanus Farms in stock again. Right now I have only the 7 kg buckets for $55.


Organic Carrots and Beets from Leffers:

Grade 1 Carrots $9/5lbs
Field run Carrots $20/15lbs

Halmas Vegetables:

Potatoes, ( red, yellow, russet) $23/25lbs
Onions ( yellow ) $25/25lbs

Quite a few of you have inquired about chickens and Fairlane Colony let a different Colony know that I am looking for chickens to sell and they just called me to let me know that they can deliver some on Thursday December 18. If you would like to order some let me know the sooner the better. Note that there is a price difference from before. These chickens weigh 5-8lbs each and are $3/lb. Pick up will be Thursday
