It’s crazy how quickly your priorities change once you’ve started a family.

Starting a family was something I never even considered before entering my 30’s.

My idea of financial and time freedom was literally becoming a nomad. Bouncing from place to place without worry about money.

Now, it’s quite literally just being able to spend time with my family.

Without worry of debt, providing a nice home and food in our bellies


While being able to explore and allow our kids to experience new things

& allowing them to ask questions.

Being able to spend my days with them wasn’t/isn’t just a goal, it’s a necessity.

The “dream lifestyle” of fancy cars and expensive beachside property was never my jam.

But whatever yours is, it doesn’t have to seem that far out of reach

We’re making this a reality for so many people right now it’s crazy đŸ€Ż

Morning drives are particularly interesting.

The most aggressive drivers.

In their daily commute to work, people drive crazy fast, weave in and out of traffic and seem like they're in a massive rush to get to work.

You would think it's because they can't wait to get there!

In reality, it's usually going to a job they hate.

So that comes out in their morning (or evening) commute. People in cars are not treated as people at all, just things that are "in the way".

Why put yourself through that?

Morning drives should be calm.

It's been my mission to be more present with my daughter since she was born.

Shaping her and letting her experience the world in a way that I couldn't when I was her age.

Now, with her baby brother on the way, it has become even more important.

If you're not with your kids or family as much as you'd like to be, then it should be your mission to get there.

The only way to do that is to change not just what you're doing, but how you're doing it.

As a digital marketer, I've come across many programs, but the one thing I've learned, is to be laser focused on your mission and laser focused on your hustle.

Too many people jump from one thing to the next and never break through.

I'm committed.

It's one thing to preach accountability, and another to actually hold yourself accountable...

It takes looking at yourself. ACTUALLY looking at yourself, and realizing that you are where you because of YOU.

It can make you feel alone and isolated; knowing that you're the only one who can dig yourself out of a hole or make a change.

Holding yourself accountable is the toughest part, but once you do it consistently, your whole world opens up!

Remember that, as humans, we tend to create our own barriers to success.

So when you decide you need to change, ACTUALLY MAKE A CHANGE!

You will get derailed. You will have setbacks.

So what’s more important to focus on, is your ‘WHY’.

“Why you want to get there”

Your WHY has to be so powerful, that any obstacle, new challenge or setback keeps you moving forward towards your vision of what you want.

Remind yourself daily what is driving you to succeed.

Act with purpose; be the best version of yourself.

Be of service to others.

You will do great things.

Once you accept that you are where you are because of decisions YOU made, you start to control the direction of your future.

Regardless of circumstance.

For instance, if I bought a house and it turned out to be a money pit, I still made the decision to buy that house. Sure, I did all the right things, maybe I got a home inspection, but I still decided to buy that house.

Or maybe you work at a job where you think you don’t get paid a fair wage. Well, working there was your choice and continuing to work there is your choice.

I’m definitely not saying that you can control a foundation leak, or that you can somehow set your own wage at a job. All I’m saying is that you made the decisions that got you to where you are.

Be accountable. Own where you are. Control you future.

You can have the most knowledge in the world...

You can have an amazing work ethic...

You can be insanely motivated...

But if you don't have a system, or the right system, then none of that matters.

You don't have to be incredibly intelligent to follow a system. In fact, there are lots of every day average people doing BIG THINGS online.

Why? Because they either create a system or follow a system and they also test to see what works and what doesn't.

So, when you have a system that you find works, scale it!

If you told me 18 months ago that I’d be at home full time with my daughter while building an online business, I probably would have laughed.

But that’s exactly what happened.

I remember, as the due date drew closer, I intensified my job search. I knew I couldn’t work the same demanding job that I had been.

Thankfully, I didn’t have much luck in that job search, so I kept my head down and worked.

After she was born, leaving in the morning before she woke up and getting home right before bed time was no longer an option.

So I ventured online, and got hooked up with Lloyd and Bryan, my mentors, and a team of incredible people to grow and build with.

Now we’ve just launched our platform, iKonic Marketer.

& in the first week since it’s launch, has made a huge impact on everyone’s business.

Too many people quit before they even have a chance to see if what they were doing was working.

As I've said before, I've been doing this for over a year, and I have seen WAY too many marketers give up after 2-3 months because they're not making money. CRAZY.

Most of them have never done anything online before, never written ad copy or have never done anything in sales.

They're not taking time to develop those skills

AND HERE'S THE BIGGEST ONE

They think they can do it all on their own without a coach or a mentor!

I'll tell you one thing, the people that stick around and see it through to success, are usually the ones learning from successful mentors.

I'm grateful to have mentors who have done it first, and learned from mistakes that they made, so that I haven't had to.

Before I met my current mentors, I made LOADS of mistakes! Now I'm stacking wins.
