The Best Little Oarhouse In Nova Scotia is actually a “homemade take-out” restaurant in Bridgewater, NS. What started as an outdoor food stop by the Bridgewater Mall has now moved indoors to 99 Aberdeen Road, where you can still get take out, but also sit down and enjoy your food right there.

Good food, friendly staff, great prices. The Privateer Country Kitchen in Liverpool closes March 26. A sad end to a restaurant much loved by many South Shore locals. You will be missed.

Greetings to our fellow followers!

I just want to thank each and every one of you for being interested in our reviews and posts. I must apologize for not having a post in the last few months, as we have run into a snag with not only computer troubles, but some personal issues as well.

Both Henry and I are hoping to get back into the game soon! As you know, Nova Scotia is breathtaking in the winter and I would love to take some pictures to show you just how beautiful it is.

The holidays are always so hectic and people tend to forget to take a breath and enjoy the greatness of our surroundings, and relish in the moments of the important things of the season. I hope all of you thoroughly made your special time of year into something truly memorable.

Little Mister, Henry and I wish you nothing but the absolute best of 2015. May you have the happiest, the safest year. Keep your friends and family close... love them, and cherish them... hug them, embrace their presence and always remember what they have done to make you who you are.

I was just looking through some old videos of mine from last year, and I came across this quick little beaty gem. Though this wasn't taken at the Busker Festival, it makes me anxious for it to get here, as I LOVE checking out all of the great music and culture!!

Thank you for your input! There was no disrespect at all I love hearing others opinions on many different topics.

Our goal isn't to slam local businesses down to the ground. We review local businesses, we are honest about our reviews, and we hope by bringing up different angles will actually do the opposite. I hope they make some of the little changes to enhance their business.

Some people talk to the staff about what they could do to change, but most unfortunately do not, for obvious reasons. They prefer to voice their opinions (both positive and negative) either by mouth to other people, or they turn to online, like Trip Advisor and Yelp or other places, which some of the reviews there of the many local businesses here in Bridgewater, including the Tastee Freeze, are negative.

Most speak of the nostalgia and how great it was when they were a child, which is awesome, but there are ones who actually focus on the business and the service the receive instead of being distracted by reminiscing about yesteryear.

I try to view these types of reviews as constructive criticism, to make them a little better, to encourage more business. A person does have a right to voice their opinion about a service they receive, however I hope that it will help them grow, by realizing what they can work on, as every business is constantly working on making everyone happy.

We've done several reviews about different local businesses so far, and no one has commented on those. Why? Because the majority of the write up was positive because we, for the most part, had good experiences. So the positive reviews get no feedback or encouragement, but the negative or constructive criticism does... Why is that?

Our intention is not to shoot any local business down. Our goal is to help them grow, and take initiative to make them more successful by providing useful information that is honest, and not beating around the bush with any issues. Sometimes the truth hurts, but once it sinks in it can promote change for the better.

As far as I know, Ko?s is the oldest Chinese food restaurant in the Bridgewater area.
