It’s the most wonderful time of the year! 🌟🌟🌟

This year, Studio Happiness Of Anna is on a mission to create (86) Christmas greeting cards featuring Franchiser Owner Cameron Robins and Restaurant Manager Sherry Johnston of Tim Hortons in the Hamilton - Aldershot area.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Inspired by Christmas: Give Back To The Community, we collaborated with two inspiring individuals to create holiday cards for their staff members with our art and design aid. The task is centered around a collection of three cozy and sophisticated illustrations celebrating the beauty of the Holiday Season. We hope all employees will smile and feel valued when they receive this note from their superiors this Christmas.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The people inspired us in the shop to create unique designs that manifest gatherings, friendship, and gratefulness. Therefore, we prioritize giving the card a timeless design, refined illustrations, and bold yet fun colors to reflect the Holiday cheer. The three design gave different meanings when staff received the cards. We have 'Warm Wishes' with a mistletoe illustration for love, 'Season's Greetings' with a cozy cabin for happiness, and 'Happy Holidays' with cocktail drinks for togetherness. In conclusion, we wish everyone to feel honoured and seen at this time of year.

Hello happy friends! How are you in this cold weather? I am sharing a good news / bad news update with you today.

Let's start with the bad news, shall we?

Sadly, at this time, I won't be taking client projects till next year due to my autoimmune / kidney issues. I want to focus on recovery, rest, and family time, and I hope to get back to work as soon as I am better. The good news is, the team of doctors/specialists and pharmacists are helping me 100% on this recovery and doing their best to give me the proper medicine and therapy, so I am always on the go for appointments and follow-ups. I am hopeful about this progress and confident I will get back to taking projects by next year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our good news today is I am planning to paint, illustrate and work on my lettering while on break and will post them as much as I can to give you the best artwork by far, so bare with me on this and keep an eye out on your favorites! In addition, I am super excited about this project because I plan to have a volunteer lettering+artwork proposal with start-up to medium entrepreneurs! Exciting, right? The owners who accept my creative work style and interview will feature in our social media feed for content. We are optimistic that this project will run all year for 2023. So, let's be confident about the outcome of this once-in-a-lifetime offer from us for FREE!

ABOUT THE BRAND

Lo**ta’s Candle Company is owned and managed by Karla Capristan since 2020, a passionate and eco-friendly candle maker from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their soy wax candle is all made in the kitchen, hand-poured with love in small batches to ensure the most quality.

THE CHALLENGE

Lo**ta’s Candle Company approached us with the idea of creating a custom label design for the Christmas season. The goal is to give the label design a festive, bright, and merry recognition—a unique gift to make someone feel loved and cherished for the Holiday season.

THE SOLUTION

Karla expressed that the label design must be illustrative and lively to accomplish such an ambitious goal. This limited-product soy wax candle will represent the Christmas season for their avid customers, a time for joy, family, and gift-giving. As an independent creative studio, this challenge will make our illustration service come in handy. After our project proposal and contract signing, our next step is discussing and analyzing what should be drawn in the labels. We assure you that this design screams a very Lo**ta product look and feel!

After our brainstorming, we constructed original sketches of all the ingredients in each candle. The client picked some delicious Christmas fragrances for their collection, 'Holiday,' that comes with orange, fir, and vanilla. The 'Mistletoe' comes with apples, berries, and clove, and the 'White Christmas' comes with evergreen, pine, and floral -- the final label design was digitized and approved by the client before sending them to the printing service. The primary colors for this collection are red (Mistletoe), green (Holiday), and blue (White Christmas) to pair up with the beautiful gold holographic vessel jars and tin cans. We are proud to say the label design simultaneously evokes holiday cheer and elegance. These handpicked scents will make customers truly enjoy a festive ambiance wherever they are in the world.

Hey happy + new friends! I thought I'd re-introduce myself here. It's been a while since my last introduction. My name is Anna (pronounced as Aw-nuh). I am the owner and lead designer here at Studio HoA. My passion for art and design grew when I had my first child. I pride myself on being a gatherer of unique ideas, concepts, and illustrations that benefits me now as a graphic artist. Like any other startup, I started from scratch, which eventually grew into passion, hard work, self-learning, and perseverance to achieve my designer/artist dream. With the help of social media, I found my true calling after accepting various local projects on Instagram. My freelancing years have proven to earn a solid reputation and done projects like digital art portraits, elegant bridal invitation, birthday kits, promoted a non-profit private event, and recently worked on a soy wax candle brand as a creative partner.

As the owner and lead designer of this studio, I can work independently at home or as part of a team. My main goal is to support and build compelling art, design and branding with the people/businesses I will collaborate with.

2. When I was 5 years old, my dad accidentally drop a pot of boiling soup all over my body (because I'm that stubborn and unlucky ) and it took me 6 months to sleep on my side shoulders until I properly sleep on my back normally, that year really sucked!
3. I once did an Edge Walk with my partner at CN Tower back in 2013 on 1st our anniversary.
