15 years ago, it started with an idea. Today, the dots are connecting across the world. 🌎

What began as a vision to create more opportunities for Canadian basketball has grown rapidly over the past 18 months. Canada has become a premiere destination for players from around the world chasing their dreams, and through NPH, we’ve built relationships, created opportunities, and connected people across borders. Now, we’re taking that same blueprint beyond Canada. This year marks the first NPA/WNPA session in the United States, while our expansion into the Middle East continues into the new year.

The goal has never been to simply bring the world to Canada. It’s to build a global basketball ecosystem where young athletes can find opportunity closer to home. The relationships made through NPH are becoming the foundation for something much bigger — connecting players, coaches, programs, businesses and basketball communities across the world.

Being an underdog has never been about being the least talented. It’s about having a dream bigger than the opportunities that present themselves directly in front of you. 🇨🇦

Canada is full of basketball players, coaches, officials, creators, and future leaders who are chasing something bigger than themselves. They’re from different cities, different communities, and different socioeconomic backgrounds, but they share one thing: they live the game. The challenge isn’t always talent - it’s having the exposure, opportunity and investment needed to turn that passion into a path forward. That’s where NPH comes in.

Not everyone who picks up a basketball will play at the next level. But the underdog story doesn’t end there. An underdog can become a coach, an official, a broadcaster, a photographer, an entrepreneur, an executive, or someone else building a career around the game they love. The goal is to create pathways for anyone who lives basketball to find their place in it.

The next underdog isn’t necessarily the next superstar. They could be the person who helps shape the future of Canadian basketball.
