If I’m being completely honest, birthdays make me a bit spirally, and this one seems especially so. Life is moving so fast and I really just want to soak up as much of the good as I can while I’m here.

Most of the good in my life comes from the people who surround me. They’re kind, inspiring, determined, and always lifting me (and others up).

So for my birthday I wanted to put a bit of that goodness and support out into the world by gifting someone a Custom One-Page Website.

I’m not sure who this will go to. Maybe it will help someone get the business they dreamed of off the ground. Maybe they’re making a difference in their community and could use a hand reaching more people. Or maybe it’s just someone who has taken a chance on themselves and needs a fresh start?

Either way, I hope this little site makes a big impact for someone.

In marketing we’d call it an “ideal client avatar” but around here, they’re ✨imaginary friends✨

Marketing your business can be overwhelming when you’re trying to attract everyone and their dog. For example, your brand colours shouldn’t be your favourite colours, or what you think will appeal to the masses, they should be exactly what your DREAM client wants to see.

By attracting your dream client you’re (probably) not pushing anyone else away, you’re just attracting more aligned clients that are excited to work for you (and if someone was turned off by something your dream client wants to see… they probably aren’t your dream client 😉)

In marketing, they’re called avatars, but around here, they’re ✨imaginary friends✨

It can get really overwhelming when you’re trying to create a post, write website copy or update your branding and you’re trying to appeal to EVERYONE.

This is why I ask my web design clients so many questions about their dream clients. We want to make sure we’re speaking directly to them!

The reality is, if you’re marketing to the person you’re dying to work with, you’re (probably) not pushing anyone else away, you’re just welcoming aligned potential clients into your space. (And in the off chance you do push a few people away, they weren’t your dream client anyways 💛).

It’s tough getting a business up and running. There’s 1001 decisions to be made and only so many hours in a day.

Sure, we all have the same 24 hours, but Kim K has a team of people to shove all of the same tasks you do into her 24 hours for her.

So for those of us that aren’t Kim (🙋‍♀️), sometimes it makes the most sense to tackle tasks in phases (yup, like your website).

Start small, and strategic so you can show up online looking like the badass business you are and start establishing trust and credibility with your audience.

Once you have a better idea of where your business is going and the type of clients you’re attracting, we can build from the one-page website foundation that we’ve built.

It’s faster, less time consuming, requires less content writing and photos, and is a more affordable way to get started!

Back by popular demand, my July FAVES is here! 🌸

As it turns out, asking your friends and family for fun facts is a VERY humbling experience. 😂 There were more “fun” facts did not make the cut than did, which I think says a lot about the company I keep. We love hard and roast harder.

Working with Alex and Ashley from was an absolute DREAM ✨

For over 40 years, the Chesney family has been providing their community with fresh produce. What was once a one-man operation and an acre of muskmelon crops is now a family-run farm with over 500 acres and 40 different crops 🍉

In addition to adding new crops, they’ve also added new ways to feed and educate their community over the years. From Pick-Your-Own produce, to home deliveries to baked goods, and on farm experiences, they really do it all!

Alex came to me with a huge 7.0 site that she had designed and updated herself for years (and had done a great job of doing so) but was ready for a helping hand in overhauling!

Our goal was to update the site to 7.1, improve user experience and implement their new branding from in a way that still felt easy for them to update on their own - all while having a live and accessible site for their customers as they wrapped their 2025 season up!

We wrapped this project up just before the holidays and I’m so happy with the outcome! It’s simple, warm and welcoming and utilizes mega menus to simplify the header navigation.

Truly the only disappointment when it comes to this project is not being closer by - I’d love nothing more to stop by, soak up some sun, crush a homemade burger and milkshake and pick a few berries 🍓

A huge thanks to Alex and Ashley for the kind words, their trust and the opportunity to play a very small part in an incredible and inspiring legacy! 💛
