There’s something about a good hype video that makes people want to be part of the event before it even happens.

And that's exactly what we want.

Event socials shouldn’t just act as a recap after everything is over. They should build momentum leading up to it, create energy while it’s happening, and give the event a longer life after the doors close.

The brands and organizations doing this well are turning one event into weeks of content:

BTS moments
Live coverage
Recap edits
Community reactions
Paid ads + organic content working together

Events aren’t just events anymore. They’re content opportunities, brand awareness campaigns, community builders, and trust signals all wrapped into one.

We know email marketing doesn’t get the same hype as social media right now, but the numbers still speak for themselves:

đź“§ And unlike social platforms, your audience actually asked to hear from you there

That last part matters.

A few weeks ago we did something we don’t get to do very often as a remote team—we all met up in person to celebrate the launch of our own custom CRM.

Something we’ve been very excited to finally roll out… and, let’s be honest, a great excuse to get everyone together.

This wasn't just about our exciting launch, it was also a reset moment for us. We spent time talking through where we want Search & Social to go this year, the numbers we’re working toward, and how each role actually contributes to getting us there. It’s one thing to be busy, it’s another to be aligned on what that work is building toward.

Also—Sav, who’s currently on mat leave, surprised us by coming (baby in tow), which was very on brand and wholesome for the team. Rod also flew in all the way from Maple Ridge, BC, which made it feel even more like a full team moment.

Between the conversations, the food, and a couple drinks, it was one of those afternoons where you remember how valuable it is to step away from your screen and actually connect. Especially in a remote setup, those in-person moments hit differently.

As an agency, we’re usually so focused on our clients’ growth that our own strategy can take a backseat. This gave us the space to slow down, get clear, and get clear on how each of us will move things forward.

Lots of laughs, a lot of catching up, and a much clearer picture of what we’re working toward.
