The BONAFIDE BOX is a love letter and yearbook combined - celebrating our clients’ achievements, shared journeys, and highlighting exceptional Canadian makers and creators we’re honoured to champion.

This marks the 10th and final BONAFIDE BOX.

We reimagining how we can support independently-owned brands - moving beyond what’s become an annual tradition to creating more frequent and seasonal touchpoints.

We’re shifting focus toward what feels right: core-memory inducing experiences and genuine real-time connections. We’re gonna be kickin’ it old school - and something about that feels exactly right.

When Christian and Lino of Edmonton’s SABOR Restaurant Group and I realized the only time we could celebrate the opening of ATRIUM at SABOR before the busy holiday season would be the same week as CFR, it was a no-brainer. Why not kick off rodeo week with an old-school bash?
‌
The first ever 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗙𝗜𝗗𝗘’𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗖𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 featured our favourite oysters straight from PEI alongside some of the finest local brands in the city for a good old-fashioned Sunday afternoon social.
‌
What a thrill it was to gather so many people who have boosted and championed us and our clients over the years - folks who build culture and community through the work they do serving Edmontonians and, of course, people who just always bring good vibes to any room.

From the delicious bites by Chef Lino and his team to the debut performance of Chris Mena & The Smokes and the black Smithbilt Cattleman hats gifted to each guest by Union Financial, there was no better way for us to christen downtown Edmonton’s most eventful event space and bring BONAFIDE’s brand of hospitality to the forefront.

Lordy, lordy - we’ve been keeping A LOT of secrets these past few months…The cat’s finally out of the bag on this one! A new fine dining concept by SABOR’s Christian Mena and Lino Oliveira will call the former Union Bank Inn on Jasper Avenue home next year. Renovations have been underway since 2023 to restore one of Edmonton’s most iconic landmarks, the Union Bank Building, to its former glory 🤩

As part of the transformation, it has now been revealed that an exciting new restaurant concept is also on the way, courtesy of the team behind one of Edmonton’s most renowned restaurants.

Roca by Sabor, the latest project from the Sabor Group (), aims to bring world-class culinary excellence to Edmonton’s downtown core. Similarly to Sabor, Roca will be serving a coastal-inspired menu using internationally sourced ingredients 🤤

The restaurant space will occupy the main floor and private basement dining rooms of the Union Bank building and is slated to open by spring 2026.
