Welcome back! So, we left you on a bit of a cliffhanger with our last post. How unfair of us! We haveto keep you hanging somehow though.
You likely came back because you want to know how the best of your branding project, let's chat about that!

Step one: Follow it!

We know how tempting it is to post that meme you found online while you were stuck in a scrolling vortex, but if it doesn't match up with the guidelines, you could potentially throw off the voice you've created for your brand.

And on that note, what the heck is brand voice?

Think about that really lovely skincare brand that you've been looking at, how does it make you feel when you look at their marketing collateral? Does it make you feel like your skin has been dying from lack of hydration, can you smell all of the fancy ingredients when you look at their instagram page?
And what about your favourite hockey team? Can you smell the ice rink, hear the sticks smack the ice, and does their logo spark something inside you that just puts you in a winning mood?

That is successful branding and establishment of brand voice! And if you stick to those, we promise that your lasting impression will be so much more satisfying than the chuckle you got out of that meme.

'Sup guys and gals! I'm Chantal Crockatt - Owner, Creative Director and O.G. (Original Gal) at Gal Friday. I make the crazy ideas and my team adds their sprinkles of goodness + some major talent!

Straight up - GF is the BEST thing (yes, besides you and the kids .crockatt) I've EVER done. WHOO! Lotsa caps there, sorry.
I have been in the muck as much as any entrepreneur. I have branded, rebranded, changed my business model too many times, hired, fired (sadly) and i've even succeeded. I am not the bee all, end all but I know what us treps go through to make life work. The Juggle is real, amirite?

How does that benefit you, future client, well it means I can act as if I'm part of your team. I can think like you, talk like you and most importantly, I can BRAG about you. So many people we work with tell me it's a trip trying to write their own bio, design their own logo, plan their services. I get it - why do you think I've taken so long to get here (and the road is long from being short - or something that makes sense).

"What does a win look like for you?"

If you know me, have worked with GF, there is a great chance you've heard me say this before. With building out a site for our beloved clients, this is one important question we always ask. In fact, you should look at your own site and ask that same Q.

:
1 - Make sure your website has a clear and obvious description of what your company actually does without them having to scroll for it - in web talk - "above the crease".
2 - Make sure your future clients know what the stakes are. What if they don't choose you? What could happen? Then tell them all the things you CAN do for them and MAKE IT SIMPLE. Three steps to how easy it is to work with 'Princess Rainbow Butterfly Ice Cream Parlour'.
3 - Your website had better make it easy fot these Ice Cream lovers to get in touch with you, Princess Rainbow Butterfly. Seriously, add allll the buttons - in web talk - "A call to action"
