Nothing like a clean skin inspired shoot to brighten the day.

Let’s spill tea 🫖

This was a portfolio shoot where I had two models and an mua/hair stylist - except one of the models no showed and was never heard from again after I had worked with them multiple times before 😳

Last minute in the early hours I am trying to find a model to fill in while trying to make sure the no-show was ok. Things happen but it was a complete ghost. Luckily Trisha, our MUA & Stylist stepped in and modelled making the shoot possible.

So what did I do? I sent a few follow ups even days after as I wanted to ensure the person was ok and not in an accident.
I gave her grace because this had never happened before and she was communicating the evening before.
After a few months of not hearing from her, I simply unfollowed and moved on.
If she were to ever reach out again I’d likely give her another shot at working together.

Was it really stressful? Yes
Were there almost losses ($$) incurred because of the no show? Yes
Are we all human beings going through different things in our lives and who also make mistakes? Yes

Don’t be afraid to stand out!
Standing out among the competition gives you an edge and defines your personal and professional brand. It attracts the right people to your business because they want to work with you for the right reasons.

How can this be achieved?
1. I offer a 30 minute consult prior to your session to align on needs, aesthetic and goals.

2. At the beginning of your session I do a run through of what you can expect from me during the shoot. This helps you understand directions, timing and posing.

3. You’ll see your photos in real time. I like to show you the photos as I go. Firstly to boost your confidence and secondly to receive real time feedback from you. We are working together so if there is something you don’t like or you have a preferred side it’s important I know.

4. Lots of laughs. I take my work seriously as it’s not only my passion but it affect how those who choose me as their photographer feel. But I make space for chatting and jokes to keep the air light and the session fun. It important to me that you enjoy your experience.
