Your time is better spent running your business and coming up with your next post idea, not stuck doing the technically challenging work of editing videos.

So offload it. Now.

There are tons of affordable editors out there, and platforms like Fiverr and Upwork make it easy to browse, hire, and pay them.

Creating videos feels overwhelming when it feels like a hundred moving pieces.

It’s not. It’s four.

1. Script & plan — figure out what you’re actually filming before you hit record
2. Film — genuinely the easiest part, most people just overthink it
3. Edit — this is where raw footage becomes something worth watching
4. Distribute — get it in front of the right eyes

Four stages. That’s it. Nail those, and you’ve got a system you can run yourself — no agency, no guesswork.

⚾ Social media marketing allows for many more at-bats than traditional marketing!

In traditional marketing, the goal is often to nail a single element, like a perfect offer or picture. In contrast, social media marketing involves taking as many at-bats as possible, with the potential to hit a first base, second base, or eventually a home run. Because of these many repetitions, if one attempt doesn't work, it is not considered a complete failure. Instead, it's an opportunity to analyze the data, try something else, and continue learning from the feedback.

📉 The price of entry into entrepreneurship often involves a bit of embarrassment!

It is impossible to start and grow a business without making mistakes. You cannot be afraid to make these errors, even if you worry that others will view you as a failure if something doesn't work. If you are willing to pay that price and learn from the experience, you will develop valuable skills, knowledge, and character traits. Going through these inevitable challenges is exactly what helps you transition into your next endeavor.

🧠 Stop posting without a clear purpose!

One of the biggest struggles small and medium-sized businesses face in social media marketing is a lack of understanding regarding the platforms they use. Often, businesses post content simply because they feel they need to. However, by developing a deep understanding of how these platforms function and the psychology of the users on them, businesses can create content much more strategically. This approach allows content to perform significantly better.

📹 Getting comfortable on camera simply requires more repetitions!

People often ask how long it took me to get comfortable in front of the camera. I started in my parents' basement with pink insulation on the walls, and recording myself speaking for 90 seconds straight felt extremely uncomfortable for about six months. Progress took a while because I lacked help and didn't have opportunities to speak with others; I was simply setting up a tripod and talking. My family and friends thought social media was weird, but ultimately, getting better simply required more repetitions and practice.

🎬 It takes repetitions to get better at content creation!

When I first started content creation, I was in my parents' basement with pink insulation visible on the walls. It wasn't the best setup, and I spent about six months feeling super uncomfortable just trying to speak on camera for 90 seconds without stopping. I didn't know anyone else doing it, and since my friends and family thought social media was weird, I felt like I was breaking the mold. Over time, though, the repetitions started working, and I got better at it through practice.

🏗️ Sell stories, not services!

I absolutely believe social media is undersaturated, particularly for businesses and founders. Right now, we work mainly with contractors to build founder brands, which is the number one thing separating them from competitors who aren't doing it. Having a founder brand allows you to storytell a lot more, which is a total game changer. Once you get over the mental block of being on camera, people start to resonate with how you solve problems and connect with you.
