FEEL GOOD FRIDAY// When I need a pick me up and feel like I want something to make me feel good, I reach for dark chocolate🍫 - at least 85%. It is an acquired taste, but I have found a love for it!😋

I always have it at my desk and have at least 1-4 squares a day. Not lying! It keeps me sane and not reaching for worse food. Not only that, it also has a ton of health benefits that keep me productive throughout the day - magnesium for stress relief, good fats to keep my mind coming up with great marketing ideas and a satisfying taste to keep me smiling!

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY// One of my passions is healthful eating! Energy, focus and productivity are the name of the game for this busy mom and entrepreneur. To fuel my days, I look for recipes that back a nutritional punch (bonus points for easy and kid-friendly)! One of my new discoveries is chia pudding. I admit, the texture is not for everyone, but I have discovered the love of chia pudding for breakfast. NATIONAL CHILD DAY// Today is dedicated to celebrating the rights of our children. In Canada, it is celebrated in recognition of our country's commitment to upholding the rights of children as well as two historic events: the 1959 signing of the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. Our next generation continues to need their voices heard, be protected from harm and have their basic needs met. Our future as a society depends on it.

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY// One of my top self-care go-to’s is repeating affirmations! Affirmations are positive statements you tell yourself over and over. They help overcome and drown-out self-sabotaging and negative thoughts (because as entrepreneurs, we have a lot of those!). When you repeat these statements often enough, you can start to make positive change in your life. Decide what it is that you want to aspire to – what you want to feel in that moment – then keep repeating it. My favourite is a mantra of 4 statements: I am content. I am at peace. I am helpful. I am calm. What’s yours?

TAKE A HIKE DAY// If you needed an excuse to lace up your boots and head outside today is the day because it’s ! We are so fortunate to be surrounded by breathtaking scenery – you don’t have to go far to indulge your senses! So grab those boots, trail mix, water and a buddy (because hiking is always best shared with others – I LOVE to bring my kids with me) and head out! Besides, it’s – so bonus points for getting your wellness on too!

MOTIVATION MONDAY// This month’s book recommendation is Badass Habits: Cultivate the Awareness, Boundaries, and Daily Upgrades You Need to Make Them Stick by Jen Sincero (Penguin Publishing Group). I love this book because Jen is one of the most authentic writers I have ever read. She is funny – she is relatable – she is truthful! At its essence, the book is about breaking bad habits and forming new ones in a functional way. This is the PERFECT read over the holidays to get you revved up for the New Year!

Today is World Kindness Day. A global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world.

In honour of today, let’s spread truth, love, kindness, and mutual respect. Our future generations and humanity depend on it. In a world where a million things divide us, kindness bridges these divides and binds us together.

Everyone is someone's friend, mother/father/daughter/brother/child and the centre of someone’s world. We don’t know the battle they are fighting or the situation in their life. Compliment someone, let the person behind you in line go ahead, tell someone you are thinking of them, do someone a favour without being asked… there are million ways to spread kindness. One small thing can create an endless ripple.
