Did you know batteries should never go in your blue, black, or green bins?

Damaged or crushed batteries can cause fires, so proper storage and disposal are important.

Before recycling:
🔹 Keep batteries in their original packaging when possible
🔹 Cover the terminals with tape
🔹 Store them in a clear, sealed bag
🔹 Drop them off at an approved battery recycling or City Eco Centre location

Small steps can help keep our homes, waste workers, and community safer.

🎉 A New Chapter Begins.

Today marks a meaningful milestone for all of us.

Viethub Community Society is officially incorporated as a registered non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada.

This milestone is more than a certificate—it marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to serving our community.

Viethub was established to connect, support, and celebrate the Vietnamese community through cultural programs, educational workshops, volunteer initiatives, networking opportunities, and community partnerships. We believe that strong communities are built through connection, inclusion, lifelong learning, and giving back.

As we move forward, Viethub remains committed to building a welcoming community where individuals and families can learn, grow, preserve Vietnamese culture, and create meaningful connections together.

To everyone who has supported, encouraged, volunteered, and believed in this journey—thank you.

Viethub Community Society đã chính thức được thành lập và đăng ký là một tổ chức phi lợi nhuận tại Alberta, Canada.

Đây không chỉ là một tờ giấy chứng nhận, mà là sự khởi đầu cho một hành trình lâu dài nhằm phục vụ cộng đồng.

Viethub được thành lập với sứ mệnh kết nối, hỗ trợ và tôn vinh cộng đồng người Việt thông qua các chương trình văn hóa, hội thảo, hoạt động tình nguyện, kết nối cộng đồng và hợp tác với các tổ chức để cùng xây dựng một cộng đồng ngày càng gắn kết và phát triển.

Looking for funding to grow your community programs?

The Canada Book Fund – Support for Organizations supports eligible Canadian organizations with projects related to:

📚 Marketing & promotion
🤝 Professional development
💻 Technology initiatives
🎓 Internship opportunities

To be eligible, organizations generally need to be:
• Canadian-owned and operated
• Incorporated federally or provincially

🗓 Next application intake:
September 21 – October 31, 2026

If your organization works in literacy, publishing, or cultural initiatives, this may be a funding opportunity worth exploring.

Viethub will continue sharing grants, funding opportunities, and useful resources that can help community organizations grow and better serve our communities.
