Why I almost quit a program I paid $24,000 for.

I've made big investments in myself before.
But this one felt different.

Last year, I invested in a 12-month group program.
I'd been following this person for years before I finally took the leap.

And at the beginning? I was so eager.
So ready to dive in and do the work.
This was exactly what I needed for my next 'breakthrough'...or so I thought.

But after the first few months, I started to feel stuck.

The modules were long.
The action items were overwhelming.
And the ChatGPT prompts they gave us? They left me feeling more deflated than supported.

But worst of all...I started second-guessing everything I knew as a marketer.

By trying to consume and implement everything, I wasn't moving forward.
I was paralyzed.

And I stayed in that state for months.

Watching other people in the program share wins.
Wondering why I couldn't seem to figure it out.
Asking myself: Why can't I just stay focused and do the work?

I started to think something was wrong with me.

Then I had a call with my mindset coach.

She asked me something that shifted everything:
"What actually feels like the right direction for you in this moment?"

And then she said:
"Maybe the lesson wasn't the transformation you were expecting from the program. Maybe it's something bigger."

That's when it clicked.

There wasn't anything "wrong" with me.
The way the program was designed just didn't match the way I learn best.

And the real ROI?
It wasn't a new funnel or marketing strategy.

It was learning to trust myself again.
To trust what I already knew.
To stop looking for external validation and start leading from my own experience.

And honestly? It also made me take a hard look at how I support my own students.

→ Am I creating content that's digestible, not overwhelming?
→ Are my worksheets supportive without causing paralysis?
→ Do my students feel deeply supported, or just… busy?

Sometimes the biggest lessons from an investment aren't the ones you signed up for. And that's actually OKAY!

And sometimes the best thing you can walk away with is finally trusting yourself. 💖

March 2026 Business Recap

The highs, the lessons, and everything in between 👇

As I flipped through my camera roll, I realized March was a month of intentionally creating space in my calendar to make memories…something I’ve struggled with since starting my business.

Here’s what the month looked like:

WINS 🙌

🎉 Celebrated an extended weekend away at .

If you love spas, living in a bathrobe, and stunning Okanagan views…highly recommend.

🎉 Instead of buying presents, I’ve been choosing experiences with my nephews.

This meant the best Auntie & Nephew hangout day…swimming, a hotel sleepover, and mini golf for his birthday.

🎉 LinkedIn Business Growth Academy student wins (always my favourite part):

→ New leads, clients, and referrals coming directly from LinkedIn

→ Profiles optimized, with increased content consistency and reach

🎉 New inquiries for my Personal Brand & Marketing Consulting, and one new client signed, whom I’m so excited to support.

🎉 Attended some great networking events, including the Style Exchange (left with a whole new wardrobe) and SupportHER Networking event, where Gina Vliet spoke about preparing your business for death…definitely got me thinking.

🎉 Took myself on a solo CEO Retreat in the mountains for a week.

I mapped out my next LinkedIn Business Growth Academy launch and created upcoming marketing assets.

CHALLENGES 🫠

↘️ I’ve been putting a lot of pressure on myself around my launches…how I show up, what I create, how everything performs.

That pressure has actually slowed me down, led to overthinking, and even procrastination.

↘️ I had a sales call at the beginning of March that…didn’t go well. Sales isn’t my strongest skill, and I felt super rusty.

I was so excited to support the client that my nerves got the best of me.

A good reminder: if you don’t use the skill, you lose it.

Let’s just say…I’m following up (because the fortune is in the follow-up), but for now, it seems I’ve been ghosted. 👻
