🚨 Shopify’s Layoffs Raise Serious Questions 🚨

Shopify, a company that many assume to be proudly Canadian, has once again proven where its priorities lie. Recent layoffs disproportionately affected Black, Women, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) roles, signalling a clear shift away from inclusivity and ethical business practices. As outlined in this article, the company is taking steps that don’t align with the values many of us hold dear.

This is yet another reason why I am committed to finding Canadian and European alternatives to Shopify and other U.S.-based platforms. 🚨 There's been a Massive Data Breach. Here is what you need to do…

1) Do you have an account on any of the sites listed in the graphic, you need to change your password and turn on 2 Factor Authentication when available.

2) Have you used the same passwords from any of these websites on OTHER websites? Go change those too

3) Use a Password Manager app. I use https://1password.com

4) Check https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see where else your data has been breached and change all those passwords too, if you haven't already

Here's what you need to do…

1) If you have an account on any of the websites below, change your passwords right away (No judgments on some of the questionable sites listed 😳 - I mean, MySpace? Who uses MySpace 😂)

2) Turn on 2-factor authentication on any of the websites that make it available

3) If you used the same passwords on any of the sites below on other websites not listed, change those passwords too (Don't use the same password!)

4) Use a Password Manager so you can store passwords and create unique passwords. I use https://1password.com/

Why did the graphic designer break up with their font?

Because it was too bold and never knew when to kern-it and quit-it! 😄
