Three years ago today, I wrote the first formal business outline for Spra###.
At the time, Spra### was a registered Ontario sole proprietorship focused on maintenance, painting, and property services. The vision was simple: work hard, take care of people, and build something honest that would last.
Looking back, what stands out isn't what changed. It's what stayed the same.
The original mission was centered around maintenance, preservation, and extending the life of assets. In 2023, that meant homes, buildings, siding, paint, decks, and property maintenance. Today, that same philosophy extends into digital infrastructure, privacy-focused systems, historical preservation projects, records management, communications tools, and independent technology platforms.
Since then, Spra### has grown beyond painting and maintenance alone. The journey has included construction projects, masonry work, digital services, archival research, software development, privacy systems, and infrastructure operating under the same principle: preserve value, preserve ownership, and leave things better than we found them.
The projections written three years ago were ambitious. The reality turned out to be even broader than expected. The road has not been easy, and many days required faith, persistence, sacrifice, and the willingness to keep building when nobody was watching.
Today, Spra### remains independently owned and operated. The mission remains simple:
Build honestly.
Protect what matters.
Preserve the record.
Respect the people.
Keep moving forward.
Three years later, still here. Still building.
