Currency Marketing helps credit unions deepen their relationships with members—especially young adults—and give credit unions an edge in an increasingly competitive financial environment. We can’t wait for the day when the credit union industry’s average age moves closer to 40. By engaging with young adults and families where they live—online and out in their communities—not only do credit unions foster financially savvy members, they’re increasing their long-term viability.

Real financial education happens when great content meets great community partners. A big thank you to Lutheran Federal Credit Union for featuring our It's a Money Thing Identity Theft resources as part of their Financial Education Friday series.

Identity theft and fraud prevention are topics that affect people every day, and we're proud to support credit unions that are making these conversations more approachable, practical, and engaging for their members. Thanks for helping turn financial education into action!

Young adults aren’t the problem.

For years, we’ve heard that younger generations aren’t interested in learning about money.

But maybe we’ve been asking the wrong question. Instead of asking, “How do we get young adults to care?” we should be asking, “Are we teaching money in a way that’s worth paying attention to?”

Research consistently shows that people retain information better when it’s engaging, relevant, and emotionally meaningful, not when it’s presented as another lecture.

That’s the philosophy behind everything we create with It’s a Money Thing. Financial education shouldn’t just be delivered, it should be remembered.

What’s one financial lesson you still remember and why do you think it stuck?

Money is getting more complex. Families are leaning on their kids who can keep up.
