Next in our feature of labels for Ace Brewing Company, another core beer, the Wingman Pale Ale.

The illustration features a pair of fighter jets flying over the Comox Valley Airbase with Air Force Beach, Kye Bay, Denman and Hornby Island in the distance.

This beer was the 2022 Silver Metal winner at the Canada Beer Cup.

Next in our feature of labels for Ace Brewing Company, another core beer, the Drop Tank Blonde Ale.

Drop tanks are external auxiliary fuel tanks. British breweries donated free beer to soldiers during World War II but just after D-Day, there was no room to ship it over the English Channel, so drop tanks were repurposed to carry beer to soldiers.

This beer was the 2022 Gold Metal winner at the BC Beer Awards.

The launch of our Strathcona Collective Vol. 9 Spring & Summer issue is tomorrow night! Stop by between 5 and 7 (door prizes at 6 p.m.), pick up a hot-off-the-press copy of the magazine, and share a delicious beverage and/or meal with friends, colleagues, and fellow contributors.

We will be in the Velocity Lounge at the Naturally Pacific Resort, and will have the entire space available for those who want to get some practice in at the driving range bays!

Sylvan Vale Nursery is a Reforestation Nursery, located in Black Creek, supplying forestry companies with coniferous and deciduous tree seedlings, native plants, and liners.

We were asked to create a graphic for promotional garments that highlighted the 4 species of saplings they grow. We wanted to focus on the unique side of the reforestation process they're involved with by featuring the more unseen side of the plant, the natural beauty and organic patterns of the root systems.

Not your average glow stick! LÜMI glow sticks are locally developed in the Comox Valley, and use bioluminescence for a reusable/rechargeable, long-lasting, and non-toxic bracelet that will last up to 10 years.

We were asked to help develop some POS packaging, and since the product itself is as environmentally friendly as possible, we wanted the packaging to reflect that too. We developed a 100% custom design and diecut for a simple wrap that required zero glue or tape to hold it together and hand on a POS system.

2023 has been another interesting year for the Collective Magazines. We developed an expansive new website for all our publications, and have lots of exciting things to come as we continue to grow The Strathcona Collective and begin celebrating 10 years of The CV Collective!
