Community Port Day is back! ☀️

Tomorrow (Saturday, August 22nd) from 11am- 4pm, will host a fun filled day by the sea with vessel tours, activities and more. You can find us at our dockside boutique along with a number of others to explore for unique finds!

Admission is FREE and everyone is welcome!

Should it rain the event will be postponed until Sunday, August 23rd. 💦

So excited to welcome the province to the Corner Brook Civic Centre this evening for our opening ceremonies for the 2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Games.

To help ease parking and vehicle congestion at our Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games Venues and accommodations, we will be providing a shuttle service between the following locations from 8:00am to 5:00pm August 8th to 15th:
- Marina Redmond Centre
- Civic Centre
- Arts & Culture Centre
- Wellington Street Complex
- Eastside Elementary
- Blomidon Golf Club
- Margaret Bowater Park (playground-side)

Those attending the 5th Annual Elmastukwek Mawio'mi (August 7th-9th) can also avail of this service, as well as park nearby at available Margaret Bowater Park spaces, and the Sir Richard Squires Building (located here https://maps.app.goo.gl/XhuBSoVeSVkuJ7yo7).

With so many great things happening this weekend and throughout the NL Games, we encourage motorists to account for the extra traffic by taking your time to get where you're going, proceed with caution and generally drive safely!

As the Jigs and Wheels Festival wraps up in Corner Brook, make sure you take full advantage of the grand finale this weekend!

Head down to enjoy the incredible food at Ribfest, check out the stunning lineup at the annual Kinsmen Car Show on Saturday, and take in all the amazing community events. Whether you're coming for the food, the classic rides, or the live music, there’s no better place to be.

While we were in Corner Brook, our Executive Director, Paul Thomey, also had the pleasure of speaking with the Rotary Club of Corner Brook. Paul highlighted EDFNL’s mission, the supports we provide to individuals and families across Newfoundland and Labrador, and the importance of raising awareness about eating disorders within our communities. He also shared updates on our growing presence in Western Newfoundland.

We would like to sincerely thank the Rotary Club of Corner Brook for their warm welcome and the opportunity to connect with their members and share more about the work we do.
