In the August issue:

Tina Lee is a single mom raising three kids: boys Valin and Kyan, and daughter Amira, the youngest. When it comes to her children, it’s about maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Raising three kids as a single-parent family hasn’t always been easy. “As a single mom with no outside support, the journey wasn’t easy. I juggled three jobs, studied full-time, made time for the kids, and still squeezed in gym sessions,” says Tina. “It was exhausting, but I knew the grind would pay off. Today, I’m proud to say it has.” She works as a health and safety advisor in the
manufacturing sector. The family lives near Glen Walter Park, and “I am so grateful to be part of such a kind and
welcoming community,” adds Tina.

It’s a labour of love for Blair Stewe, owner/operator of The Fermented Grape on Brookdale Ave. The business celebrated 28 years this past July, and Blair, with his wife, Julie, purchased the
business in 2020. In January 2021, daughter Taylor joined and now co-manages the store.

Expert Contributor, Patrick Campeau of Nurse Next Door, provides some tips for your aging parents and neighbours to beat the heat. These tips are essential as seniors are particularly
vulnerable to extreme heat.

In March's issue:

Robyn and Gabriel Hurtubise met in 2001 while studying at the University of Ottawa. They were both resident advisors for those living in residence. Both Robyn and Gabriel work for the federal
government. They were married in 2010 and have two children, Mikael, nine, and Aurelie, 7. Mikael plays hockey with the Char Lan Rebels and baseball for the Cornwall River Rats. He also enjoys swimming, soccer, skiing, and basketball. He has also obtained his green belt in karate! Aurelie is involved in dance, swimming, and gymnastics. She has an orange belt in karate to help fend off her big brother.

They love the quiet lifestyle in Glen Walter and built their house in 2015. They also love to travel with the kids and have already visited numerous countries, spanning three continents.

This is an extraordinary edition, our 100 th.

In January 2016, I decided to leave the golf industry and embark on a new adventure as a publisher of a neighborhood magazine. Of course, I was told I was crazy and that this would never work in Cornwall. I’d tell them, “It’s going to Glen Walter, not Cornwall.” As in any small business, it took me twelve months to break even, and my baby magazine in Long Sault & Ingleside East is now seven years old. I never doubted my conviction or our program.

In June's Issue:

After a 12-year relationship, Patrick Atchison and Emilie Lalonde were married on July 16, 2020. “A day etched in our hearts forever,” says Patrick. The two crossed paths during their last high school years, at Ecole Secondaire La Citadelle. No children yet, but they have three cats and an 18-month-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix named Winston that has now become the centre of their activities. Winston is always in tow when the couple is hiking and camping.
