Lots of talk about "big projects" in Canada. PM Carney's speech yesterday at WEF is one more step in what seems like a slow awakening by Canadians that we need to do things differently, and get back to building.
It's hard for some folks and some communities to feel trust around big natural resource projects. New industry makes people nervous. I mean, we have to do it with a sane, humane approach. And we got to see a great example of this with LNG Canada, which started shipping LNG to Asia last summer.
We played a role in creating video communications for the LNG Canada project for 5 years leading up to Final Investment Decision (at the time, purported to be about $40B). Working with the very experienced Comms, Regulatory and Environmental team at LNG Canada was a big lesson for us in how to engage, how to bring people up to speed, how to win trust.
