What did he pay, and why is it important to us?

🌟God created us in His image. That means our spirit looks just like Him (like how our kids are humans like us). Adam and Eve hung out with God like we hang out with our best friends.
🌟God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth, which means they had the same creative power He used to create the Earth (this is why our words have power!)
🌟instead of telling Satan that he was illegal on earth and to get out forEVER, Adam and Eve were curious and fell for his temptation
🌟Their actions effectively handed over their authority of the Earth to satan and enslaved them to him, introducing the sin nature onto the earth and separating them from God (this is why satan is called the god of this world)
🌟The effects of sin include, but are not limited to: Adam and Eve feeling shame and guilt for the first time, which made them feel like they couldn't hang out with God like they did before, and the enslavement of all of Adam and Eve's children to satan as well (including us)
🌟another effect is the eventual death of our physical bodies, and possible spiritual death if we are still enslaved to sin when our physical body dies
🌟God had a plan to get us out of the sinful nature and return us to him. This plan is seen unfolding throughout the Bible.
🌟The final piece of the plan was Jesus. When he died after living sinless, He paid the price that broke satan's hold on us and took our ownership back
🌟it's not our fault that we were born into the sin nature, but it's our responsibility to make the choice whether to stay there or not. God never intended for humans to receive the punishment he meant for satan, but satan hates humans and will take anyone he can with him.
🌟When we believe the work that Jesus did, we break the hold of sin, get filled with the Holy Spirit, and take back the authority God gave Adam in the first place to defeat the work of Satan, and live for eternity with our Father, as he intended in the beginning.

This is, of course, the version that can fit in an IG caption, but I will talk more about it to anyone who wants to💕

🌟Word of the Week🌟

When I'm writing a blog post, I generally try to write in simple language. It's the easiest to read, and the most relatable!

However, I love to throw on the occasional unique words, and today I heard this one!

Petrichor: the pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a period of long, dry weather.

"What do you do for work?

"I'm a copywriter"

"Oh, what do you write?"

"I mostly write blog posts for businesses, and other website content"

"Interesting! How does that work?"

"They send me the topic they want a post written on, and I research it and then write the post! I add links and everything in too."

"So, you basically write research papers for a living? That sounds like torture!"

"Lol, most of my clients feel the same way, which is why they hire me!"

I've had almost this exact conversation more than a few times, and every time it just solidifies my love of writing for businesses!

Writing blog posts, emails and other content can be stressful, and I'm happy to take the task off your plate!

P.S. if you are a business owner and you've been struggling lately, know that there is always someone who needs your product or service, you just have to find them! What comes naturally to you may feel like torture to them!

🌟Word of the Week🌟

I am so excited to do this, I have a feeling I'll be tempted to post more than one word a week!

"Wow Jade, you're easily amused" you are probably saying right now, and you would be right. I AM easily amused 😆

Anyways, I heard the word "ineffable" a long time ago in a show, and it stuck in my head as interesting sounding, but I never looked up the meaning.

Last night I heard it again in a Christian rap song and I immediately had to look it up, because it just didn't seem like a word that would be included in that genre.

It turns out, it sounds interesting AND has a pretty cool definition.

I like it.

3 Elements every blog post needs!

When you start clicking links on Pinterest that lead to extravagant blog posts, it can be easy to think that building a good post is complicated and too time consuming for most of us, but that's just not true!

A valuable and effective blog posts really only needs a few elements.

Once you have these, the post can be as long or short, simple or in depth as it needs to be.

1. Pictures
They catch our attention and help break up the text. You can even use quote graphics or infogrqphics to further make the point of your post!

2. Paragraph breaks
Did you know that we all read easiest at a grade 7 level? Breaking up the text of your post into smaller chunks automatically drops the readability to a more manageable level.
Posts we can quickly scan are usually our favourite, subconsciously!

3. A call to action
Anything that encourages the reader to take action from reading your post. It can be an affiliate link in a "shop now" button, or even links to other relevant posts on your blog!

You are really good at something, and you have a passion for it. One day, awhile ago, you thought, "I should turn this into a business!"

Imagine your dream business for awhile, what you would be doing yourself, and what you would delegate to others if money wasn't an option.

When it comes to telling the world about your products or services, are you feeling uninspired lately? Don't worry, we all get that way sometimes; it's hard to keep up with the speed of information these days!

My top 4 tips:

🌟SEO Friendly means to include a variety keywords that your ideal audience may be searching for to boost your searchability on Google.

That being said, you don't want your post to sound robotic! It's important to include keywords in a natural way, while keeping your post easily readable.

🌟Repurpose content. Example: take a piece of long form content, like a blog post and turn it into:
-a YouTube video
-a few reels
-an email, or split it into a few emails
-Facebook and IG static posts
-IG carousel posts
-Linked in posts
-info graphics, memes or quote graphics for pinterest

Using one piece of content this way can help you have content ideas for weeks, and you can link to the original post to bump up website views!

🌟Short, Value Packed Videos. These really have become the preferred way to consume content online recently. They are easy to watch, and get the point across quickly!

If you're like me and don't love showing your face on video, that's ok! Just use a 15 second video of your hands working, or your workspace, or even nature. Pair it with some catchy music and 3-5 valuable tips, and you're good to go!

🌟Social Proof. This is one of the most powerful tools you can use to promote your business!
Social proof is any testimonial or kind words you have gotten from previous clients.

Think about it. When you see an ad for something online that tickles your fancy, what's the first thing you usually do? Read the reviews!
There's so much low quality stuff being advertised and sold today that we want to be sure we are investing in something that will work for us.

Show potential clients that your products or services are worth every penny they will spend with you by sharing what others have said!

Don't have any testimonials yet? As previous clients for one, or offer a free or discounted product to a few people in exchange for a review you can use.
