🤎 MAMA MONDAY — LET’S TALK ABOUT THE PART NOBODY TALKS ABOUT ENOUGH.

We talk about the nursery.
The baby clothes.
The birth plan.
The excitement of bringing your baby home.

But we don’t talk nearly enough about what happens to Mama afterward.

Postpartum can be beautiful, but it can also be incredibly hard. The exhaustion, the hormones, the anxiety, the intrusive thoughts, the overwhelming emotions, the feeling that you don’t recognize yourself anymore…

And sometimes, no matter how much you love your baby, you still aren’t okay.

And that’s okay. 🤎

There is absolutely NO shame in asking for help.
There’s no shame in talking to your doctor.
There’s no shame in therapy.
And there’s no shame in needing medication.

Medication doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It doesn’t mean you love your baby any less.

Sometimes your brain needs a little help finding its way back to you — just like any other part of your body might need help healing.

So this Mama Monday, let’s normalize talking about postpartum mental health. Let’s check on our mom friends. Let’s stop expecting moms to quietly struggle just because they’re supposed to be “happy.”

You can love your baby with your whole heart and still need help.
You can be grateful and still not be okay.
You can be a good mom and take medication.

If you’re struggling, please tell someone. You don’t have to carry it alone. 🤎

And if nobody has told you lately:

You’re not a bad mom. You’re human. And you deserve care, too. 🫶🏼

Math is not always going to be on your side, but if you don’t keep going ~ you’ll never know what’s coming tomorrow.

I was able to deliver 85 tumblers for a massive race this weekend. Each peewee & youth rider is receiving one of my tumblers! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be able to be apart of something this big (and we sponsored HALF!)
