I’ve learned something lately — when you start to grow or achieve things you once only dreamed of, not everyone will clap for you. Sometimes, the people you expected to cheer the loudest are the ones who slowly pull away.

It’s not always out of hate or envy… sometimes your success reminds them of their own unfulfilled goals or fears. Sometimes they just can’t picture you being the one who made it, because they’re still holding onto who you used to be.
